An excellent hostel, especially for international travellers. The staff/volunteers are all lovely and they are constantly organising events and outings which is nice; especially as everyone takes care of each other even with nights out in the town. The volunteers are like a little army of motivators who always want to make sure you're having a good time. The week I was there there they organised free salsa lessons, yoga class, games night and some tours I didn't go to but it seems people enjoyed them. The facilities are verry well set up, the place looks beautiful and has lots of spots to relax including a small pool. The kitchen is spacious which I liked because I like to cook. The bathrooms were always clean.

Overall atmosphere was lovely - it's a beautiful property with a number of cozy common spaces to spend time in. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Friendly and helpful staff with lots of tips, was able to easily rent a bike from the hostel as well to explore Tulum (much cheaper than a taxi!)

Vi bodde 9 netter på dette hostellet, og har vært kjempe fornøyd med hele oppholdet. Rommene er bygget rundt et indre gårdsrom med utsikt til bassenget. Dette er et rolig hostell for de som liker å kunne trekke seg tilbake. Resepsjonistene Jason og Cintia var veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme. De kjenner byen og kunne anbefale restauranter og severdigheter. Anbefaler absolutt dette stedet :)

Hostal Dona Lucha was a home away from home. The hostess Dani was so friendly and welcoming, she was helpful and knowledgeable. It was like visiting a relative. The shared room was comfortable and I slept well every night. No bed bugs but watch out for the mosquitoes. The bathrooms were always clean. The outdoor kitchen had everything I needed. The location is a short walk (10 minutes) from the ADO bus station. You need to walk through the sushi restaurant to get to the entrance. There are plenty of restaurants around and the Main Street is two short blocks north (where all the tourist shops and bars are). Dani or her colleagues can advise on cheaper restaurant options. The plunge pool was a perfect place to cool off.
