Staff are absolutely wonderful especially Aldi who checked me in and answered numerous questions. Unfortunately I was sick and could not attend the social events but staff made solo travellers feel very welcome to integrate with others with the social plans. Rooms are clean and airy, bathroom was spacious and plenty of space for toiletries, good kitchen, nice social areas. Location is good not far from the boats station and short walk to beaches. Laundry opposite.

Situated in Caraíva, Caramuru Hostel Caraíva offers beachfront accommodation 200 metres from Caraiva Beach and features various facilities, such as a garden, a restaurant and a bar. Great facilities, staff and atmosphere. The 8 people in my mixed dorm all became friends and spent the next few days enjoying the day trips and nightlife. It’s nice having the beach to walk by in the morning too. They also had a party on Friday with free entry for guests that was very good.

Located in Arraial d'Ajuda and with Pescadores Beach reachable within 400 metres, Ôxe Uai Hostel provides concierge services, rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and barbecue... This was probably the best hostel I stayed at in Brazil! It feels like a family and has such a good location. Even though they didn’t speak English and I don’t speak Portuguese i felt included in everything. It’s a really calm and relaxing atmosphere and super close to the beach. It’s a 25 min walk to get to the city Center but there is a small supermarket around 10 min walk away. Everything was super clean. I would really recommend!!

Eco Casa di Barro Hospedagem e Hostel in Ilha de Boipeba provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Amazing property tucked away in the jungle. Super cool terrace with hammocks and a day bed, and a nice little outdoor kitchen. Eco conscious which I appreciated. Room was huge, plenty of space for 8 beds, even better that most of our stay there was only us 3. No AC, but plenty cool at night with the fan. Two toilets (M/F) and a huge shower in the room. Staff was so friendly.

Spacious, comfortable hostel with chill areas and a clean swimming pool. Located close to a great beach, with a supermarket and good affordable food in close proximity. The owner is an amazing, chill and friendly person, you feel welcome and at home instantly.

Nomads Hostel Multicultural & Coworking in Salvador provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a bar. I was surprised of the size of the hostel, they have looooaaaaads of room and it's really beautiful there. I can also recommend their library of books, found some real treasures. Staff was absolutely great, not to speak of the guests who were exclusively awesome! Location really centered, shops, etc. all in walking distance. Especially suited for digital nomads.

Hostel My Place Hospedaria in Salvador provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a bar. I loved staying here. I can honestly say this has been my best experience with a hostel. The couple that runs the hostel was so kind and went out of their way to help everyone. I felt like I was with family. I can't reccomend this place enough. Excellent breakfast, company, and location. They were so patient with me while I practice my Portuguese. You will not regret staying here!!!
