I made a last minute booking and Ruth was really helpful in accommodating me and preparing a delicious lunch which I highly appreciated after the travelling and late time in the day. I slept in the shared room, which was very spacious, clean and the beds where really comfortable. The place is quite new and everything is neat and beautiful. I do recommend to get to know it when visiting Tayrona area.

Very good food, lovely location, good pool, chill staff. A message to all germans, the monkeys don't have a clock but they will come at some point, chill.

We loved the place :) The location and the vibe was fantastic, the staff was very helpful. The rooms were very tidy and well-prepared. The food and drinks in the hostel restaurant were delicious. Posada Ecoturistica Palmares Del Rio is located in Guachaca, 41 km from Santa Marta and 38 km from Taganga. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Free private parking is available on site. The family was very hospitable and the food was good. The river was beautiful and so was a nearby hike to a waterfall.

Next to the river & wildlife. The hut slept really good. Great mosquito protection. Great bed. Its almost you sleep outside but you got enough privacy. Simba the cat and Gardian the dog were really cute and the owner can cook very well. The keyword is tranquillo. Don’t expect much, expect nature and a really great night rest. Even if you love luxurious places you can love this place (ill do). We extended our stay for another day only to relax in the hostel and swim in the river. We used the jacuzzi. In the night you hear crickets and frogs singing and the sound of the river and sometimes you hear monkeys. It’s awesome. If you gonna eat. Don’t go to tiki hut as the pizza’s made us sick.
