The staff was very friendly. All facilities and furniture is new and modern. Common areas were clean and tidy.

Set in Pullathomas village, the family-run Kilcommon Lodge Holiday Hostel is surrounded by mature gardens and offers far-reaching views across Sruwaddacon Bay. Well set up, excellent kitchen facilities, lovely fire in the lounge/dining area . We were made to feel very welcome. Appreciated getting the laundry done

A historic Victorian house with a self-catering kitchen, a guest sitting room and a courtyard, The Valley House Hostel & Bar also offers free WiFi and free on-site parking. I cannot emphasise enough how wonderful the staff were. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable. There was some live traditional music in the bar the night, and event though it was quite full it was still operating smoothly. I'd definitely stay here again.

Set in Cong, 1 km from Ashford Castle in County Mayo, Lakeland House offers budget accommodation with barbecue facilities and free private parking. Good room, and excellent facilities for breakfast, there are many things to do nearby and there is also camping available.

Old Mill Holiday Hostel is located in Westport and housed in a historic building dating back to around 1780. Free WiFi access is available, as well as a shared kitchen. Clean, central, great character. Great staff. Due to Covid and low numbers of travellers the woman separated people so they avoided sharing rooms. I had a 6 bed room to myself. That flexibility is responsible and appreciated.
