Set a 12-minute drive from the West Fjods village of Flateyri , this hostel offers basic rooms with free Wi-Fi access, as well as mountain and river views. Dynjandi Waterfall is 72 km away. We stayed in the loft room of the summer house. It was cosy but perfect for us with our teenage children. The owners we’re so kind and helpful - nothing was too much trouble for them.

Isafjordur Hostel is set in Ísafjörður and offers accommodation with shared bathrooms. wonderful little hostel with an amazing and eclectic group of folks staying there. clean, comfortable (but remember to bring a sleeping bag or you’ll be charged for a quilt).

Boasting a shared lounge, Gistiheimilið Bergistangi 2 is situated in Norðurfjörður. The hostel features both free WiFi and free private parking. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The owner was very friendly and helpful.
