What's interesting is that on Chinese New Year's Eve (it's also my birthday) I sat in the restaurant with the hostel boss I guess, I was eating my meal, he was using the computer, and it was quiet around the fire until late at night. He kindly helped me clean up my kitchen waste. I got a sticker at the front desk to put on my suitcase. All are unforgettable memories.

Niseko Backpackers Hostel Tabi-Tsumugi menawarkan akomodasi sederhana dengan tempat tidur ekstra panjang, 10 menit berjalan kaki dari Stasiun Kereta JR Kutchan. Fully equipped kitchen, big beds, close to a big supermarket, and the effort that the host Ryo puts into the job is amazing. He will drive you everywhere and recommend hikes in the local area. The best recommendation you can get as a host has to be that the customers come back, and I've already been there twice on my trip around Japan :)

Staff is the most friendly we met in Japan, really lovely people! Good location, just a short walking distance from the lake and the visitor center.

The hotel staff is very polite, they told us about the attractions and answered accompanying questions.

There's a nice open area on the 2nd floor where the reception is that you can hang out in without any time limits. There's a nice kitchen to use, a place to watch shows or play video games, ping pong, or just chill. The staff, particularly the manager, was very helpful when I was trying to plan my trip and deal with some stuff that was only in Japanese. I'm always surprised by review scores people give in Japan in general, because it's as though they are expecting perfection compared to other countries. In general, anything above an 8 here is like a 9+ in other countries. This place easily warranted a 10 for me.

This made their stay extremely uncomfortable. We had air conditioning in our room. When I brought it up with management, they said that some rooms have it and some rooms don’t. It is then very important when you book to ask for a room With air conditioning, if that is important to you.
