I felt it was value for money. I got exactly what I paid for. Amsterdam is expensive, and everything I found under the price I paid for Abba was youth hostels with shared bunk beds. Not quite my vibe. But everything that this hotel advertised, it delivered.
It was a safe place to stay at for 2 nights, since it was a female-only hostel. Bed and bathroom were clean, but some shower doors were defect and couldn't be closed properly. Every bed has a plug and bed lamp. You can also leave your luggage at the store room if you arrive early before check in.
I got what I paid for. This hostel is one of the cheapest in Amsterdam, thus my expectations regarding the facilities and the comfort were not high. I got good sleep, I felt safe and everything went fine with checking in and out, so it was a good experience. Nonetheless there are small things that wouldn't require much attention from the hostel owners and would make the experience better: fixing the doors in the shower, cleaning the floor in the rooms (it was sticky)...
One of the best hostel I've been to. Beautiful room, clean, good location inside an old historic building inside a public park. The beds are comfy, with curtains if you need it and also a lot of space for the storage under the bunk bed. Didn't try the breakfast but some told me it was very good. It is close to tram stop. Amazing common spaces and different events are organised.
The hostel is cheaper and nice, with the best location these are a good combination for every backpacker.
Great location, amazing, kind and extremely helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms + shared common areas = one of the best hostels we've ever stayed in <3
This was our first time staying in a hostel. We (myself and my 13 yr old son) stayed in a private room (a bunk bed) with en-suite bathroom. The room was compact with two large storages under the bed and was very clean. We had buffet continental breakfast during our stay and the selection was sufficient. The overall setup of the hostel was trendy and we noticed many families with kids staying there. The location was central and closed to park, museum, safe and a bus ride from the airport. The bus stop was 3 minutes away.
great location, fun hostel bar, safe space to hangout
nothing much usual dormitory hostel i guess for students on budget its ok
The personnel were super cool and helpful. The hostel is pretty close to markets and public transport. The location was not nearly as bad as descibed in some internet forums. There was not a moment when we felt unsafe even during out nightouts. We had certain hesitations when choosing a female-only hostel (what about NBs? etc.), but It was the cheapest option we had and we do not regret it. Also getting rid of the male-gaze was a plus.
