Situated Among the Southern Alps, Haka House Aoraki Mt Cook features views of Mount Cook, and is 200 metres from Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre. An amazing hostel and location! It reminded me of the hostel in Liechtenstein - well cleaned and spacious for each person. Massive kitchen area with proper recycling bins. Absolutely loved the quiet area and access to the sauna was just amazing after the hikes! Great for stargazing too! The rooms had enough space for luggage storage and curtain to avoid disturbance. Haka house provided shower gels, shampoo and conditioner in all their bathrooms which was great!

This 30,000 acre Merino station is located alongside the Ahuriri River, 15 minutes’ drive from Omarama town centre. We stayed in Tim's Wagon and it was secluded and by the river. Fantastic outside heated bath to relax in and to admire the sky and surrounds. Really comfortable, everything that you need. Would highly recommend for a different experience.

The room was big and there were only 3 bunk beds so I could use enough space. The room was warm and there were extra bedding as well, anyone can use them. Lounge, kitchen and toilet were clean and I saw the staff cleaning there eagerly. Every staff are so sweet. Location is also good. It might be a little bit expensive compared with other accomodation but I want to stay here again.
