The bed bunks are the best! very comfy mattress, lovely privacy curtain and enough space for your stuff. The stairs to te top bunks is big (block of wood) so not painful like most. The chill area in the middle was very nice, kitchen as big, the dog was cool and the staff is the best! I stayed here again on my way back for 4 nights and told all my travel friends to book here.

Based by the Lake offers accommodation centrally located in Taupo, just minutes from the lake. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, the ensuite bathroom was a real plus, everything was super clean and the location really central. Would definitely recomend!
