Best family friendly hostel I've stayed at. It's an old school, our bedroom was half a classroom -- great play facilities and gymnasium and very spacious kitchen and common areas. The association that runs it really care about their community and keeping the building alive and take a lot of pride in creating a great experience. A very lovely place to stay and well located for Astrid Lingrens world. Don't miss visiting the nearby church, a fantastic piece of architecture!

Rooms were simple but fresh and clean and the atmosphere was great. There is a nice sauna to rent for cheap just by the lake which we made good use of.

It was easy to find it with their instructions - not with Google Maps. Will definitely stay again on my way through Sweden. There were clear instructions for how to clean the cottage before leaving.

The cooking facilities were excellent with many essentials supplied. The breakfast was good. Best of all were the charming German ladies who run this business. Nothing for them was too much trouble. Our stay was a real pleasure and not expensive.
