Found it very social with both guests and staff relaxing in the downstairs area. All of the facilities are in great condition and the beds are comfortable. It's a 3-minute walk to haad rin beach which is where the full moon festival takes place. From Haad Rin, you also have easy access to the Eden Party, whynaam beach, lost paradise and more. Just on location alone, this hostel provides such great value for money. The facilities in the hostel are very nice too. Everything feels very clean and comfortable. There's a pool table, airtable, kickers table and lots of board games. There's also an x-box which is free for all guests to use. During party nights like the full moon, the hostel provides free body paint and invites a DJ for a good pre-party. As you can imagine, this all contributes to a very social atmosphere at the hostel and you will leave having made a lot of new friends. The staff is very friendly and well-motivated. During my stay, I was happy to see the staff get some time off on a regular basis. They're also very honest and I felt comfortable leaving my things anywhere because nothing ever gets stolen here. It's very safe. Of course, it's better not to risk it, which is why the hostel provides lockers for free. Just remember to come with your own padlock. You can buy food/drinks from the bar/restaurant at the hostel. The food is very good and it's probably the most affordable in the entire Haad Rin area. I looked. Daniel, the owner is a very friendly guy, and he has his finger on the pulse of the island so if you need any recommendations or tips on things to do, just ask him and he'll give you the best advice.
