I was originally going to be in Cat Ba for a single night, but extended it to three because of how comfortable this homestay was (one of the best I have experienced in Vietnam so far). It is run by a great family, and they are very good about making you feel comfortable and at-home. The rooms were very spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the space was clean. I would highly recommend that you stay here if you are in the area! I had every question answered about Cat Ba by the first day, and was able to book motorbike rentals and tours through them :)

Objekat Alex Hostel nudi klimatizovane sobe u gradu Ha Long, u četvrti Bai Chay, na 14 min. hoda od znamenitosti Plaža Bai Chay. Smeštajni objekat se nalazi na oko 2 min. The staff were amazing!! We really couldn’t of asked for anything more, we arrived late (early hours in the morning), and the key was left on the desk for us to let ourselves into our room. We were given the choice of which room we’d like to stay in too. Breakfast was amazing, we were even treated to extra fruit! We were helped out with booking a boat tour, and the owner even got us some dinner before we caught our night bus, as we were going to be short on time to have a shower and get food after our tour. We cannot recommend this hostel enough in Halong!

Objekat BBQ Hostel Ha Long 2, koji se nalazi u gradu Ha Long, na 2,3 km od znamenitosti Plaža Bai Chay, nudi smeštaj sa 3 zvezdice, kao i vrt, zajednički salon i terasu. Amazing rooms, exceptional value for money. The staff were so helpful in booking our onward travel and even picked us up from the bus station on arrival. Very comfortable beds and hot showers, the room even had a smart TV to watch Netflix.

Situated on beautiful Cat Ba Island, The Oversleep Catba Hostel sits along Lan Ha Bay and is just a 10-minute walk from Cat Ba Market and steps from the ferry terminal. This was probably the best hostel we’ve stayed in during three months travelling in the region. It’s very new so everything is in perfect condition, but it’s also all very well thought out. Plenty of storage space in the dorms, nice warm reading lights and good thick curtains around the beds to block out light. Bathrooms are great - very clean, with nice, powerful (and hot if you want) showers. The staff are also wonderful. Toby at the front desk is smiley, warm and always happy to help. Pa Pa in the restaurant/bar is such a beautiful soul and made us feel so welcome every time we walked in the room. The rest of the staff whose names I sadly don’t know made our stay that much better - always smiling and making us feel like we were staying in more than “just” a hostel. Thank you Toby, Pa Pa and everyone else in the team for everything you do!

I had a motorbike accident at Cat Ba (do not rent motorbike taxi!!!) They helped me a lot, I don’t know what should I do without them, especially I was alone,All people there are very kindness and friendly, took care of me, I wanna say thank you 1000times, love Cat Ba Buffalo !!!Everyone goes to Cat Ba should stay here!

The pods are great, there is so much space and provide a lot of privacy. The staff were very helpful and kind, the restaurant downstairs serves delicious food. The central location is perfect. I also loved the rooftop. One of the best hostels I have stayed in Vietnam.

The staff's exceptional hospitality and helpfulness truly stood out. The hostel's rooftop is a gem, adding to the experience. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this place for your stay in Cat Ba!
