I felt right at home, like part of the family. The babies are well behaved and delightful. My room was quiet and comfortable. Ellen picked me up at the train station—this was far above what I expected. Ellen also gave me an itinerary for my day on Miyajima island, full of insider tips—I didn’t know there’s so much more to Miyajima than just seeing the shrine, and thanks to Ellen’s guidance I had an amazing visit. I highly recommend Full House Miyajima if you are someone who wants a warm welcome, if you enjoy connecting with others, and if you want a home stay in Japan with a lovely family!

An exceptional experience provided by the hosts, Ellen and Yo! If you are looking for an authentic experience that connects you to locals and also boasts a beautiful view of ocean sunsets, then look no further. Ellen and Yo went out of their way to make me and the other guests feel welcome and gave useful recommendations to explore Hiroshima and Miyajima in the limited time I had. It was easy to walk to the ferry to visit the island, and safe to walk back at night. I stayed in a traditional Japanese room and connected with some of the other guests to learn even more about Japanese culture and their travels. Overall I highly recommend Full House, and I hope to be back myself on the next trip!

The host are really helpful, welcoming and nice. They give you their best recommandation and don't hesitate to drive you to the place you need. They take care of you having a nice stay, answer fastly by message. It's a great experience to be able to meet such kindful people. I sincerely recommend this place :)

We had such a great stay with Ellen and Yo, they both went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, even dropping us to the train station and supermarkets in the snow! They gave helpful advice for travelling to Miyajima and it was great being able to use the kitchen in this shared house. The ferry to Miyajima is about an 18 minute walk from the house and the ferry takes about 10 minutes.

Ellen and Yo are very hospitable, pleasant hosts. Ellen offered to pick me up from the JR train station even though was very late at night. In my way back to the train station Yo ordered and paid for a taxi. What a nice gesture! I highly recommend this villa to experience traditional Japanese lifestyle. It was a wonderful experience.

The staff of Full House Miyajima is one of the kindest ones I had. They are an extremely caring family that go above and beyond to make sure the stay is enjoyable and worth the value. Ellen, who is a native English speaker, went above and beyond to make sure I was able to search for local events and points of interest and her husband was able to recommend really good food in the area and order ahead of time to make sure it was ready when i got there. With offerings of rides and pictures of all guests posted around that enjoyed their stay, Full House Miyajima is more likely to make you feel as a welcomed guest in their home rather than just another client.
