Situated in Alton Pancras and with Monkey World reachable within 27 km, Brace of Pheasants features a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. we loved everything about this wonderful character-filled thatch-roofed pub built back in the 1700’s. Our room was in the main building and was full of charm. The food here is wonderful - both dinner and the full breakfast offered. Staff were warm and welcoming and they have parking onsite too. The location is very remote in a tiny tiny village which is just what we wanted. Exceeded our expectations and what a great finale to our 10 week stay in the UK. thankyou

Veldig hyggelig jente som oppbevarte bagasjen for oss fordi vi ankom før innsjekking. Rommet hadde en søt atmosfære med mange hyggelige detaljer. Koste oss i puben også. Vi tok Jurrasic Coaster 2pund p.p. fra jernbanestasjonen i Axminister, og gikk av på busstoppet "Kent house" 2 min unna. Kan dessuten anbefale frokost på "Station Kitchen" i Axminister.

A true find. Could not have been more central to the sites of interest of the town. Very spacious room with a good bathroom with excellent facilities. Welcoming items in the room included freshly ground coffee in a sealed jar and delicious filled and coated brandysnaps. We were invited to join the monthly quiz. Great fun and local teams made us welcome. Good breakfast in the morning with variety on offer with a focus on local produce. Evening meal was very good and also unusual with tapas-style dishes of Italian style cooking. Recommended. We shall return.
