Our stay at this well located and beautifully restored home of a revered Viseu teacher/archaeologist has been a highlight of our travels around Portugal. This is a family owned and run hotel and pride of ownership is clearly evident. The family was so gracious and kind and we learned so much about life in this region from them. The lovely, spacious room and large bathroom were immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Our stay was perfect and we look forward to returning!

The house was very modern and in excellent shape. Extremely clean. But the best part was our host, Miguel. He was extremely flexible and accommodating. We were treated better than we would have at a five star resort.

The accommodation was authentic and comfortable- our host Gabriel and his lovely Mother were a pleasure to communicate with. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower lovely! We are of average fitness but managed to do the 9km loop walk through the main villages which was absolutely beautiful. The village of Pena is so peaceful and and scenic. I would highly recommend this accommodation and experience- it is an absolutely unique!

She was amazing! As for the property, the room and bathroom were very clean and they had everything needed for a perfect night's rest. The bed was super comfortable and there was even an extra blanket. The AC worked well and it was silent. I will fully recommend this place to others.

The property is around 13 km from Our Lady of Fatima Basilica, 48 km from Monastery of Alcobaca and 12 km from Chapel of the Apparitions. The inn features family rooms. Super nice location, right on a Camino variant we were doing. Beatriz from the staff was very nice. Amazing to have a microwave and little biscuits, coffee and tea available.
