It’s a bit of walking.
It’s a bit of walking. Especially if you are going to the opera house as well. So travel light. If you have small kids (or a tired Grandma) take one of those fold up beach trolleys ($75 from Kmart) those things are priceless when lugging kids and stuff around! (And tired Grandmas)

Everything is a stone throw from the Quay view Opera House, walk over Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Botanical Gardens, Lady Macquarie's Chair visit the historical Rocks have a beer in the oldest pubs in Sydney a few claim to be.
Macquarie Street is a walk up the road there is an amazing amount of history in this street, the first signs from penal colony to a colony, might be best during the week where you can access some of the buildings.
If none of that suits just sit and enjoy the worldof circular key coffee and watching the world go by

Take time to figure out how to use the transportation card - some news and cafe stores sell them and then you load the cards by paying using your credit card and can use the card for ferries and trains.
Loading the card with more credit card payments is tricky - May need to go to a store and have them load the card for you.

Great place to spend a day or two; plenty to see and do (cafe's, restaurants, tours, etc.) and a good place to make a base for a Sydney trip. Nice to come back at the end of a busy day and take in the scenery of the sun setting over the city from the quay.

Boutique, quirky little hotel right near Circular Quay where we were boarding our cruise. Great location, pub downstairs for food, but also options nearby.
Location is very convenient and accessible to Wynyard train station with direct line from the airport. The hotel and restaurant staff were super friendly and helpful.
The rooms were spacious, clean and had good amenities. It is an easy stroll to Circular Quay, The Opera House and The Rocks. Good restaurants in the neighbourhood. I would definitely stay here again.
Location is excellent. A short walk down steps across from the hotel entry and we were at Circular Quay. The Rocks area itself is tranquil and full of interest. We discovered Foundation Park hidden away, very evocative of life for early Colonial families. So many places to eat too. A special mention to Brew Cafe on Harrington Street not far from the hotel. Our room was quiet, even on Saturday night and the bed and pillows were very comfortable.
Location right in the CBD. Light rail outside hotel door. Close to walk to shops and city hall. short ride to circular quay. walking distance to Sea Life aquarium, and Sydney Eye Tower.
Excellent location with a supermarket and a variety of restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The train station into Circular Quay is close by also. The apartment is clean and excellent value for money. We stay here regularly.
1 min walk to Thai Town with authentic restaurants. 5 min walk to Paddy’s Market and Chinatown tram stop (which is a few stops from QVB for excellent shopping and then a few stops later, you’re at Circular Quay). Capitol Theatre is super close by. Hotel is in an easy location.
The location of QT Sydney was a highlight of our stay. The hotel’s proximity to Hyde Park, Pitt Street Mall, Circular Quay, and the Royal Botanic Gardens made our visit convenient and enjoyable. The room exceeded our expectations with its stylish décor and top-notch facilities. The bed was extremely comfortable, providing us with restful nights after our city explorations. We also appreciated the vibrant nightlife options within a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
Located near Circular Quay, the hotel is in a superb position. The staff, men and women, didn't wait to be asked for help in a difficult situation, such as carrying a heavy suitcase up flights of stairs: they simply offered and did the job.
Loved everything about this hotel and stay. Location was amazing especially for Circular Quay and the Rocks. Short walk to main street of the city. Staff was amazing each and every day. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel is located within a short walk of Circular Quay, the Rocks and the Opera House. The room was very spacious, had a really comfortable bed and a lovely, big bathroom with a great shower.

What guests said about Circular Quay:
We had dinner at one of the Circular Quay restaurants 'the Sydney Oyster Cove' and being a coeliac was excited to see gluten free on the menu, however my meal wasn't gluten free when it arrived just ruined the dining experience, especially considering the cost of the food and drinks
Weekly train ticket is probably the cheaper option if you want to venture further afield than the CBD. However it is rather expensive and cost $84 for the weekly ticket, but this still was the cheaper option for us as we were visiting lots of places and we were only there for 4 days, so gave our ticket away to some others at the airport. The cost of staying in a hotel in the CBD was expensive as well. Wouldn't stay and dine in the CBD again because of the cost.
