Get there early as it gets really busy with bus loads of tourists. We got there at 9.30am and when we left at 11 there were 15 buses there. Great, absolutely beautiful and lovely story and history. Very well kept

Kylemore Abbey is a really beautiful place.

Kylemore Abbey is a really beautiful place. All of us (including 2 teenageers and the dog) thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The gardens are beautiful and scones generous. I particularly liked the small church in the grounds, Ireland’s version of the Taj, very poignant.

Location was fantastic! Walkable to local pub and groceries. Very close to Connemara National Park with the best hike I’ve taken in my life, and to Kylemore Abbey. Also the house setup was ideal for families - lots of bedrooms/bathrooms, room to play outside, and visits with lots of farm animals capped it off. House was super clean and even came with a cat!
