Paraíso Douro AL is located in Lamego, 2.8 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, and provides a balcony, garden, and free WiFi. The property features 10 rooms and 7 bungalows. Everything was absolutely perfect. The place itself is a true paradise, and if I were ever to get married, I'd do it here! They also had a beautiful indoor pool, open from early to late, which was a big plus. And the breakfast was probably one of the best I've had in Portugal!

Boasting a garden, a shared lounge as well as a terrace, BONELLI HOUSE is set in Alijó, within 35 km of Natur Waterpark and 41 km of Mateus Palace. Everything was amazing! The house and the view are spectacular. Ricardo and Ana are the most amazing caretakers of the house and simply the nicest people who made our experience even better. If you are looking for a place to recharge your batteries, it doesn’t get better than this. Don’t be afraid of the dirt road that leads to the house - we rented a Ford Puma and we arrived just fine.

Featuring a swimming pool, a garden, a bar and views of the pool, Muas Guest House is set in Vila Real and offers accommodation with free WiFi. What a view! We got a balcony room overlooking the mountain and towns below, as well as the pool and cute bar area downstairs. The room itself is quite small, but the bed was great and we really stayed here to be near the scenic area and Fisgas de Ermelo, the truly epic waterfall within a 20 minute drive of the property through the beautiful mountain area. The host was great, friendly to talk to and gave us some great tips (plus a quite good affordable bottle of wine for the evening). Make sure to bring dinner with you or stop before you come for the evening as there is nothing in the immediate area. Breakfast was quite good too. There is also a pool and hot tub, although it was too cold for us to use those (even in July). Overall, if you're driving through the area, it's worth a stop!

Boasting a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the mountain, Ribeira Delos is situated in Santa Marta de Penaguião and features accommodation with free WiFi. I had a fantastic stay here. The hosts were super friendly and provided recommendations for activities in the area. The garden was lovely with a great pool. The private setting offered a peaceful experience surrounded by beautiful nature.

Set in Resende in the Norte Region region and Douro Museum reachable within 28 km, Casa do eirô offers accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, free bikes and free private parking. Beautiful house, comfortable room with a nice veranda facing the amazing view. A whole house with surroundings to share with the lovely hosts that were simply the best. We were out and about the two days, enough to do in the region. Our stay was way too short! This means we need to come back another time and stay longer. The house is in proper countryside, beautiful mountains and crispy clean air. Thank you so so much Fernando and Cláudia for the hospitality, we felt right at home from the minute we got out of our car. We recommend anyone to come and stay at Casa do eirô, I will guarantee you it will be one of the best holidays you will have.
