Family-Hostel SPANNORT tradisional dengan dapur umum dan check-in mandiri ini terletak tepat di pusat Engelberg, dekat dengan stasiun kereta. This is the first time we really felt home away from home! Rooms are really cozy, the shared kitchen is super-well equipped (e.g. not only a stove and a microwave, but an oven, etc.) -- and everything is kept within the same design, which really make it feel as the whole. The location is super-convenient as well: ~15 min from the train station, ~5 min from bus stations to ski areas, ~7 min from grocery shops and ~10 min from a ski rent. The stuff is super-friendly and almost every day there were small evening compliments in the shared kitchen like hot chocolate with marshmallows, which contribute to the cozyness. Everything is controlled via the app, so it's self- check-in, self- check-out, live chat with the stuff in case needed and no physical key.

The hotel has an easily accessible underground parking, modern decoration in the rooms with a twist of wooden elements keeping the ambiance of the area. I saw the main restaurant too, loved tge chimney element, the cobbled walls and the scenic view overlooking mountains. Well arranged space. Breakfast is also awesome, many choices. Our stay was for 1 night but since we travel a lot to the area we will come again
