In a great location, close to the downtown core, but still far from the noise. Take advantage of the free admission for hot springs at their sister hotel and the free breakfast.

This was our favorite place we stayed out of four locations around Costa Rica. Stunning, lush landscaped grounds, beautiful big porch to enjoy the nature and birds flying around, perfect location on main road in close proximity to La Fortuna and all its attractions and amenities. Our little villa was private, spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a beautiful, huge bathroom. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Located 14 km from Arenal Volcano National Park, Lomas del Volcan offers lush gardens, an outdoor pool and a hot tub. Each air-conditioned cabin has free Wi-Fi and flat-screen cable TV. Crazy place! What a view, what a sound, really living nature. The most beautiful place we were in Costa Rica. The breakfast was excellent, a very tasty omelet that is prepared on the spot according to choice. We had a problem with the hot water but the service team solved it for us immediately and there was boiling water! Highly recommend the place.

Stunning property, friendly staff, big clean rooms, enormous breakfast selection, loads of pool/hot tub choices with different temperatures and privacy. Watch the clouds clear over Arenal volcano as you enjoy your breakfast. We saw more animals here than in Arenal National Park (alligator, camen, iguana, goannas, squirrels, male and female curassow and even a monkey). Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or stay again.

It's one of the best hotels I've ever been in. Located in the middle of the jungle, spectacular rooms and the stuff were so helpful and nice. I hope to come back soon to this place!

Alajuela is a typical Costa Rican city
The city is like most cities in Costa Rica: not so well organized, full of life, colors, noice. There is not so much to see, except for the Zoo (Zoo Ave). It is a bit out of town but very good indeed! It is built into the forest, has lots of interesting animals in it. It is quite hard to find restaurants in Alajuela. You can easily find fast food but if you want something else, you need to use a bit time to find a place.
