Mark and Anabelle are amazing hosts, they made us feel like family, and we did enjoy not only the beautiful place they have, but their company as well. Casa de Lis Hotel & Tourist Info Centre ligger i Turrialba, 3,6 km från CATIE. Här erbjuds boende med gemensam lounge, privat parkering, trädgård och grillplats. The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. The room was super comfortable and clean. We had a beautiful view from the balcony as well.

Orosi Lodge ligger 5 minuters bilresa från torget Orosí mani och 15 km från Cartagos centrum. WiFi är gratis i alla utrymmen. This lodge has thought out every little detail which makes you feel very well taken care of. From Christmas decoration of towels and toilet paper roll to earplugs (use them! The dogs and rooster have an early rise in the morning). A drawing on many activities and places to visit in the Orosi valley and an oral explanation made it easier to choose. Both reception, the garden and the room is very well decorated. A coffee machine and a small refrigerator is available. There are hand painted tiles of CR animals for sale as well as other handcrafts. Breakfast is great! The owners are available all day and helped us getting a tour of an organic coffee plantation organized. A very interesting tour. They also calmed us down when an earthquake happened saying “it’s just an earthquake” 😁
