It's an ideal choice for those seeking a peaceful escape in this picturesque part of England.

The meals were exceptional - we ate in more than our original plan simply because it was the best food around. The rooms were quiet and the beds were oh so cozy. I don't like to have my room cleaned every day and in this hotel they reward you with a drink for each night skipped.

You pay for your room as you arrive, which I much preferred. You pay for all your meals as you have them, which is a bonus, as I travel with my sister-in-law, and we like to split the bill, which has caused problems in other hotels.
