We stayed at Toubacouta Lodge 4 nights insted of 3 because we loved the site, the swimming pool and its breathingless view, the food and the excursions we did on the delta river and the Fathala Reserve safari.Thank you to Ibou and his team. Their kindness and availability to respond to any request from us were impressive.No words to explain how nice they where and how quite and relaxing the Toubacouta is!

Les Fromagers se encuentra en Missira y ofrece restaurante, pileta al aire libre, bar y salón compartido. The hotel is located in a beautiful village next to a lake and the oldest tree in this region (it's very impressive to see). We stayed at les Fromagers because we wanted to visit the Fathala Wild life reserve that is close by. On our arrival we found out that there are so many other activities to do like going fishing, watching crocodiles, visiting the islands etc. The owner of the place are very friendly and helpful. We experienced their great hospitality and felt very comfortable during our stay. I can recommend you also to try out their restaurant, since you get very tasty seafood there, freshly caught by the local fisherman. We will definitely visit again, when we are in Senegal.

Céline's place is excellent - located in the fairly large village of Toubakouta, close to the border with the Gambia, and sitting right on the Sine Saloum Delta. The rooms are large and comfortable, equipped with Mosquito nets, showers and plenty of storage space. The atmosphere around the lodge is relaxed and comfortable, with communal spaces for sitting and chatting, playing games (also provided) and taking meals together. The food is also very good, with fresh bread from the local bakery, homemade jams, juices and yogurt and even some Korean options. There are numerous activities to take part in, easy to choose from from a 'a la carte' book (in Both English and French). This includes things like boats or kayaks in the Delta, guided tours of the region on foot or bike, as well as more surprising options like Tai Chi, African Drumming or lessons on cookery. We took part in a day-long trip with local guide Doudou (who is also excellent) on the water to some of the island and villages in the Delta, and it was fantastic as we got to lunch together with some local people in the Senegalese style. If you're not sure what you would like to do, there's Céline can also help guide you and many of the choices can be arranged at fairly short notice, meaning it's perfectly possible to show up with no plans and just take it from there. Finally, its also worth mentioning that Céline and her husband Gilles who run the Keur Niaye, are also well-known and clearly well respected within the community. They, and their staff, support a number of good causes across Toubakouta and the surrounding area.

We had a wonderful stay. The room and the place is very clean. The swimming pool is well kept, and the breakfast is yummy. The hosts are kind and helpful. I would be happy to go back.

The breakfast was amazing. Everyone was so kind. We arrived late and they were waiting for us. I highly recommend staying here!!

El Fathala Wildlife Reserve está ubicado en Toubakouta y ofrece una experiencia en la naturaleza, pileta exterior y estacionamiento privado gratuito. La tienda de campaña es ideal, también la zona común de piscina y hamacas con vistas a las visitas de los animales. La cena muy rica. Tuvimos un problema con la gestión del Safari y la Manager del hotel se portó muy bien con nosotras.

El alojamiento se encuentra en Toubakouta, a 15 km de la reserva natural de Fathala. The property was recently renovated and the room was clean. The staff was incredibly (!) kind and helpful and the owner was very friendly as well. We enjoyed the garden with many different birds (birdwatching from the pool) and the delicious meal that was prepared for us. The boat tour arranged through the property was amazing. If you want to enjoy Toubakouta and not spend too much, I highly recommend this place!

Les Barracudas ofrece alojamiento en Sokone, en la región de Fatick. Todos los alojamientos tienen terraza con vistas al jardín. El lodge sirve un desayuno continental o buffet. El sitio es precioso, pero el personal es la guinda del pastel. Nos aconsejaron actividades, nos aclararon todas las dudas y se aseguraron en todo momento de que no nos faltara nada. Un equipo inmejorable. Solo podemos estar agradecidos.
