Its located near to the night street market, which we liked, but the town itself does not have a lot to offer in terms of eating and attractions. The historical area is 12km away, 20 mins in a tuktuk 150 baht..... so if you choose here, plan to spend most of your day in the historical part and eat around there too. We noted some of the rooms said cleanliness was not up to standard but our room was fine. There was discolouration on the tiles and wear and tear in the bathroom which may give the impression of looking unclean, but it was ok. The staff are pleasant and helpful, they found us a lovely tuktuk lady who we used to get us around. If you hire a bike, choose the bike hire on the corner before you enter the historical park, its 30baht. Inside the park they are 4 x the price
