Selten verdient eine Unterkunft das Rating 10, diese hier verdient 11. Die Lage ist umwerfend, der Blick von den Zimmern alleine schon den Aufenthalt wert. Der Aufpreis für ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Fluß lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Die hauseigene Küche bietet alles von chinesich-lokalen Spezialitäten bis zu westlichem Standardessen. Alles gut, die frischen Orangen- und Mangosäfte / Shakes sind mehrfach zu empfehlen. Das belebte Stadtzentrum ist 20 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt, leichter Fußweg durch überdachte Straße. Das Personal spricht perfektes Englisch und ist hilfsbereich bei allen Erkundigungen, organisiert auch gerne einen privaten Fahrer. Alles zu supergünstigen Preisen.

The main attractions of Lanshan Wangyue Hotel are the outstanding location in a village not too far from the town of Yangshuo, but with a feeling of old rural China and magnificent unobstructed view of the karst peaks in all directions; and the friendly service by the owners, Mark Ma, Li Wu and Siwei, and their hard-working and helpful staff. Additionally, the rooms are commodious and offer full views-- distant mountains from the front, the village and close mountains on the back side. The beds are new and great for sleeping, plus the rooms have good insulation and are very quiet. The proprietors find out what the guests wish to do, and custom arrange and lead excursions into the surrounding countryside. In an area that has lots of tourists (almost all domestic Chinese), they can take guests on bike trips or hikes to places that no one else visits. Ask them to take you on the half hour climb up to the old Qing Dynasty bandits lair in a cave high above the surrounding countryside, or to one of the ancient villages in the area. So much to see and do in the area, with some of the finest scenery in China.

The staff were amazing and very helpful. The nearby scenery is beautiful. The famous 20yuan peaks are Just nearby and the ancient city where you can buy food and souvenirs. The owner is a geologist who can share a lot of knowledge about the local landscape.

We spent a delightful couple of days at the Zen Garden Hotel. The hotel is set in an idyllic part of Yangshuo, with stunning views over the local countryside and river. It is a lovely spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of Chinese city life. All the staff were amazing and truly wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The food was delicious,mainly Chinese with locally sourced ingredients but the chef will cook some western food too if you ask them.

This was one of the best hotel stay's I've ever had. Sophia and team run an excellent facility. The rooms are large and pristine, they are extremely comfortable, the wifi and appliances worked flawlessly, and the entire staff was extremely helpful and made me feel right at home. I would 10/10 recommend for anyone visiting the yangshuo region.
