The main attractions of Lanshan Wangyue Hotel are the outstanding location in a village not too far from the town of Yangshuo, but with a feeling of old rural China and magnificent unobstructed view of the karst peaks in all directions; and the friendly service by the owners, Mark Ma, Li Wu and Siwei, and their hard-working and helpful staff. Additionally, the rooms are commodious and offer full views-- distant mountains from the front, the village and close mountains on the back side. The beds are new and great for sleeping, plus the rooms have good insulation and are very quiet. The proprietors find out what the guests wish to do, and custom arrange and lead excursions into the surrounding countryside. In an area that has lots of tourists (almost all domestic Chinese), they can take guests on bike trips or hikes to places that no one else visits. Ask them to take you on the half hour climb up to the old Qing Dynasty bandits lair in a cave high above the surrounding countryside, or to one of the ancient villages in the area. So much to see and do in the area, with some of the finest scenery in China.

perfect stay for visiting Yangshuo. Sophia and the staff are absolutely great, location is beautiful and very comfortable. Ask for an eBike and you can easily reach all the surrounding site seeing areas. Both western and Chinese breakfast available, and a restaurant with wide selection close by. Our room was very spacious as well as the bathroom was. A pool is also available for chilling while drinking their nice iced tea. Super recommended!

The resort is located quietly directly on the river with a beautiful view. Nevertheless it is not far away from anything. You can for example rent bicycles downstairs and cycle within 5-10 minutes along the river to the city center or even for a longer trip to various scenic spots. Lovely room, spacious and the most comfortable bed we slept on whilst in China. Resort has a great pool and it is easy to hire bikes for 20Yuan a day. It's about a 20minute walk out of town so very peaceful and beautiful, the walk is very direct but not super well lit for female travellers at night. Staff were incredibly helpful and spoke great english.

Special thanks to patiently trying to speak slow and clear Chinese to us beginners (English and apps also worked, communication overall good!). plenty of breakfast choices, also other meals provided. bikes can be rented just next door.

The staff are lovely and very helpful. The rooms are large with great views. There is quite an extensive menu and food is available from early until quite late. The bed was large and comfortable and room service was very efficient.

The very clean and modern room allowed for a beautiful view. There were many choices for Chinese and Western food in the restaurant. A lovely 30 min walk down the river (half of which was covered and lighted) took you straight to the famous West Street. An electric bike could be rented from the resort and an easy 30 minute ride could get you to Moon Rock and the famous Banyan tree plus more! The staff were so friendly, helpful and professional!
