Incredibly beautiful design with a lot of love for details, very clean, super friendly staff and delicious fresh and healthy food (they even adjusted their meals to a vegetarian option just for us). Together with the fresh towels, they gave us little drip coffee bags of a local roaster as a gift every day. We really loved that :) Also the ocean view from our balkony was stunning.

Stayed for 6 nights in this beautiful remote spot by the sea with lovely sunsets. Lots of lovely hidden beaches close by a short cycle away. We didn't have a universal driving permit so couldn't rent a car but managed absolutely fine with renting bikes from the hotel for 1000yen per day and took the bus (took just over an hour) into ishigaki city twice to see the city and to get the ferry to visit Taketomi Island. Very, very friendly staff, who work extremely hard. Couldn't do enough for us. :) We ate at the hotel every evening, food was always great. Josh was very accommodating of us being vegan and the effort was greatly appreciated! We were very well fed! We were debating staying closer to the city for ease of getting around, but so glad we chose sunset cove for a peaceful island getaway with lots of nature surrounding you and beautiful clear waters. Shower hot and powerful. Josh gave us a lift free of charge to and from the airport which was very kind. :) We stayed in economy room, which was surprisingly spacious for Japan. Highly recommend.
