One of the few spas in Desert Hot Springs with THREE mineral pools - and none smell strongly of chlorine. The Spring Resort also has both an infrared and regular Finnish dry sauna! Plus, I discovered that the Spring now offers a comprehensive juice-soup detox program, led by the warm and knowledgeable Alyssa, who also offers colonics, castor oil compress treatments and more, at a very affordable price! My first room, near reception, was a bit dark and small, but once I upgraded to a corner suite, I was very impressed and content. There is a really sweet, calm and chilled atmosphere in this adult-only establishment, which is in itself a therapy, especially for stressed-out, overworked city-dwellers. Humble, basic yet provides a great foundation for restoration and deep relaxation.

The afternoons entertainment was an added bonus to lounging in the pools. Food was good in the restaurant and we saw no need to go out to eat. Plenty of parking and we felt happy our motorcycles were secure. Make sure to pay extra for a poolview with balcony - it is worth it.

Vibe was everything, wife and I were admittedly anxious it being our first "clothing optional" resort. No judgment, no pressure. Pool was perfect temp, jacuzzi was relaxing at end of night. Laying out at night, birthday suit... Nothing better! Bed and pillows were awesome and room was extremely clean, A/C actually got too cold! Definitely going back ASAP.

Perfect for fans of unmolested mid-century resort design, with a locals-type vibe. The onsite diner and bar are excellent for staff and ambience, and the food is good. Every staff member I met was incredibly friendly and helpful - with many seeming to have pride in the history, location and lineage of the place. The pool area has beautiful mountain views and great sunsets.
