The owner and the staff are outstanding. Sharon, the owner, communicated in a timely manner, answering all questions before we arrived, and then helping with arrangements during our stay via WhatsApp. Irra, who is in charge of the house and restaurant staff, was efficient and conscientious and very kind. She took care of all the details and even arranged for me to accompany her on a shopping trip to a huge market in Bitung on a day I was not able to dive. It is one of my trip highlights. Man, who is in charge of overall operations, and the dive experience, could not have been any more helpful. From arranging the details of our transportation, to taking me, after hours, into Bitung to see a doctor for an ear infection (he made the appointment, guided me to it, and stayed with me to help me figure out what was needed), to directing our dives, he always went above and beyond. You can tell that he takes pride in the operation and is very conscientious about making each guest’s stay a good experience. Fiki, our dive guide, was one of the best I have had. He was excellent at finding all those cool Lembeh Strait critters, and I also always felt very safe diving with him as he was always aware of us in the water, and was encouraging and thoughtful to me, a still slightly uncomfortable diver. The food was delicious—lots of local dishes, lots of vegetables and fresh fish. It is served as a buffet in an open area with a stunning view down the hill and to the Strait. There are a lot of steep stairs up to the dining area, but we did not mind them. The guests shared a table for meals which I really liked, as we met so many interesting travelers. The cabins are spacious, with a deck and a fine view, AC that works well, and your own carboy of water, with both hot and cold-water options.

Pulisan Resort ligger i Rinondoran, 2 minuters promenad från Paal strand, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering och en restaurang. Gratis WiFi och rumsservice finns också. We had a wonderful time in this location tucked away on a small beach in the forests of Sulawesi. The comfortable cabins were right on the beach. Staff did everything to make our stay memorable and as comfortable as possible in the rainy season.

Thalassa Dive Resort Lembeh erbjuder 3-stjärnigt boende vid stranden i Airtembaga och har utomhuspool, trädgård och terrass. I booked my trip in a rush, hoping to make a once in a lifetime visit to Sulawesi. I hadn't done much research, so it wasn't until I arrived in Lembeh that I realised I was far away from the famous Bunaken and could only do muck diving in Lembeh. The muck diving was PHENOMANAL for anyone wanting to see tiny stuff. However meeting other guests who had the foresight of booking the Manado and Lembeh sister resorts, I felt a bit embarrassed and a whole load of FOMO for coming to Sulawesi and not seeing Bunaken. I spoke to the management at Lembeh and they went away with my thoughts and after a day came back to confirm they had secured me a room and transfer at the sister resort in Manado and i would be able to continue my diving in Bunaken - and yes it was worth it, the coral walls and the turtles made it all worthwhile. The staff were attentive and lovely at both resorts. The dive guides in Mando were very mature and excellent. The food was great and the atmosphere between guests was excellent. I had a fab time as a solo traveller at both Thalassa resorts.

This was exceptional, from the moment you arrive all staff is there to make sure you have the best time of your life. The rooms are beautiful, especially when you focus on the details and workmanship (beautiful wood, comfortable bed, very nice ingenious shower, a lot of storage space). The house reef is beautiful with very nice coral and a lot of different fish species. The staff is just amazing, very friendly and knowledgable with regards to hospitality. The food was just amazing, Italian Indonesian fusion cuisine with a very refined taste. Also good options for people who eat vegan/vegetarian. The diving here was very nice as well, Randy and Jek, thanks for your kindness and sharing your knowledge while diving. You all are very special.

Bunaken Oasis Dive Resort and Spa ligger i Manado, 16 km från Manados hamn. Här erbjuds en utomhuspool och ett spa. Här finns även en bar. Alla rum har en balkong med sittmöbler. An amazing stay, this is heaven on earth in Bunaken! The resort staff was superbly accommodating, making sure everything was done superbly and all our wishes were taken care of. Everyone is superbly kind, the resort is gorgeous, the diving is one of the best I have experienced... I am not doing this review justice in this short summary, because it really was so amazingly unreal. Don't think twice, just book and enjoy!

Thalassa Dive & Wellbeing Resort boasts 1 outdoor pools in the shade of jungle gardens, a restaurant as well as a lounge & cafe. - very comfortable and calm place - perfect also for transit if you want to relax after a journey through North-Sulawesi before your backflight - good breakfast - unfortunately only stayed last night before flying back so I couldn't go diving with the crew..but what I heard from the other guests diving also works well with the crew

Blending nicely with the countryside, Raja Laut Dive Resort offers bungalows built with wood from coconut palms. Stop reading the reviews and book this now. NOW! It so amazing. We stayed 8 nights. Right on the ocean, with a little beach, no mangrove trees to obstruct view or access to beautiful coral reef, great for snorkeling. Other places in the island don’t have this. I spotted snowflake eels, 8 types of clownfish, 3 types of anemones, coral colonies the size of cars, and so many pyramid butterflyfish and niger triggerfish just in the first thirty minutes. It’s amazing. All of the rooms have wonderful views. It was so so so relaxing to be there. I have never had such a good experience. The food was amazing and local. We did vegetarian and it was so tasty. They also had fresh fruit around at all times. We went with the divers on their charted boat and snorkeled for around 12$ a person for two separate spots a day. Super affordable. The boat team of three men were so professional, knowledgeable, and yet super funny and kind. I felt like we’re all friends by the end. There is a public boat from manado, which we took on our way out, and we booked a private boat on our way in through Raja Laut. Both were great. Brahm the manager was so kind and attentive. We did laundry there and it was done well. Jessie and her staff in the kitchen were so kind. Always enough food, served family style so we could get to know the other guests. It was so nice, but also acceptable to talk to your own party if you wanted to.
