Regarding the price-performance ratio: On the one hand, it is a quite expensive accommodation by Malaysian standards. On the other hand, you have to keep in mind that it is a huge logistical effort to get everything necessary to accommodate and feed tourists to the other side of the river. The same applies to water and sewer pipes. There is plenty of staff, everyone is super nice, the whole facility is constantly maintained. So you have to look at it as a whole, and given that I can live comfortably on the edge of a primary forest, it's worth every penny. There was only one big disadvantage: My stay was too short;-)! I would like to come back, but for longer. A very powerful flashlight for night walks is recommended.

I got upgraded because the dorms were under renovation. The double room was very comfortable, even better for that price. The owners were very friendly, I got to eat with them in the evening.
