Busy central area. Was quite easy to find our way around.
Busy central area. Was quite easy to find our way around. Had to park our car a mile away from our hotel as first green, free parking, area around us. Not great to then have to carry bags back to the hotel.
Too cold and windy to go on the beach, but I think it would be lovely to go there when the weather is sunny. We were only there for 24 hours but would like to return to see more of the area.

Ostend is fine for a couple of nights.
Ostend is fine for a couple of nights. Some good bar/restaurants where we had excellent steak. Good selection of great Belgian beers too. Ostend is only a half hour from Bruges (even quicker by train), so can be used a a base to explore Flanders. It's also only an hour or so from Calais (and on a good road) so easy to get to.

Ostend was very attractive.
Ostend was very attractive. There are lots of big green parks to wander through, and a huge sandy beach with a big promenade. There are lots of bars and cafes, and also some attractive old parts of town where Paris-style balconied apartments can be viewed. There are buses and trams in town, and the train takes only 11 minutes to get to Bruges for day trips.

I visited ManiFiesta, an annual festival of solidarity at the Wellington horse track. It takes place in early September and it's a wonderful opportunity to see live music and dance, but also for debates, films and to meet like-minded people from all over Europe. I met trade unionists from all across the world, amazing. So nice that you can visit the festival and also enjoy the beach and the city of Ostend.

we go every year for the W-Festival. a lovely music festival accompanied by the lovely seaside ambient, beautiful promenade and beaches. Very close to Ghent and Brugges. reachable by train. An hour train from Brussels, 15 mins to Brugges and 30 mins to Ghent- Sint Peters.
When we arrived we received a very warm and friendly welcome from the staff on reception, and he upgraded us to a balcony room. The large double room was excellent in size, decor and facilities on the 6th floor, with a Nespresso coffee machine. The decor and furnishings provided a very comfortable stay and we would not hesitate to book this hotel when next in Ostend. Location is great and we took advantage of private parking located 2 min walk from the hotel. We did not take breakfast, so can’t comment on the service.
Clean and modern, beautiful windows and balcony. Well equipped with everything you need to cook and prepare meals. Perfect location, one block to Marie Joseplein train station and 2 stops from the Oostende train station. Grocery store and Laundromat is within one block. Restaurants and bars all around you. Beach is only 150 meters away. Super smooth check in and great lift. Owner is very responsive. Living area had nice space and bathroom was great. Great WiFi!
Recently renovated with modern facilities and clean look.
Hotel is really close to the beach (less than 2 min walk) and in close vicinity of restaurants, bars and shopping areas.
Big underground public parking available for 25Euro/day (Parking Indigo Oostende Kursaal 1).
If you plan to eat breakfast or dinner outside of the hotel i would recommend making a reservation well in advance because all the quality restaurants are usually booked in advance.
Hotel Cardiff is a hidden gem in Ostend! It scores top marks across the board. The proprietor (Kay) went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed all Ostend has to offer. After drinks at the Tea Room and great restaurant recommendations, we retired to our modern, clean, and comfortable room for a great nights sleep. In the morning we were treated to a very nice breakfast to start the day. I will stay at Hotel Cardiff when I return to Ostend.
Very nice compact room with everything you need for a short holiday or a business trip. well-equipped kitchen and good quality fridge. Good quality bed and sofabed. close to the nightlife of Ostend but not so close you would hear it. The hotel is within spitting distance of the beach.
The communication with the Hotel was very good and friendly and the room was also spotless.
Seeing the location of the hotel (just in front of the beach), the price is very reasonable. What's more, our two dogs staid at no extra cost!!! This is almost unheard of!
The room was nice and cosy, very spacious. Downstairs there was a bar, ping pong and a play area for kids.
I really recommend this hotel, and we'll be back for sure on our next travels to Oostende.
For someone whom likes the past glory of the Thermae Palaces, it is a interesting place. Pitty it was not kept in its original colours and finishes and keeping the Fango, Swimming Pool, mosaics, ... from the early times would for sure have boosted the level of the hotel. The situation at the sea-side is of course a very big plus, for sure for Oostende.
The hotel is quite grandiose and has a very beautiful architectural structure. It is from a whole other era and has a sort of “back-in time” feeling which is quite interesting to travel to, in addition to the sea shore.
The room was very spacious, comfortable, clean and with a large bathroom and having a large window with sea-view (as requested).
Stayed at the Ostend many times and we love it after the last recent refit its a great central place to stay a few yards from the beach and harbour. Breakfast is plentiful with a great hot and cold selection and great coffee served buffet style. Its nice to come back for a quiet drink at the bar which serves some great beer on tap.
The hotel is well located, the breakfast is one of the best we encounter during our multiple stays in different hotel. The view on the beach is a most, the swimming pool and the wellness installation are clean and well designed.
The team is very sympatic and our dog was wellcome by them, the facilities are customer oriented.
Very clean apartment and right next to the beach. Very well equipped in the kitchen and shower. The host is kind and responds quickly in case any questions. The check-in and check-out was smooth thanks to clear communication before and during the stay.Highly recommended for your stay in Oostende.
Appartement was nice and clean. It's in the neighbourhood of Mariacherche, wich can be better than Oostende if you don't want a crowded beach. Furniture was comfortable.
Try to make sure you read the instructions about the entry, which are sent by Booking: phone contact with Novasol is not easy
This hotel was perfect for a couple of days in Ostend. We made use of the beautiful roof terrace, our room was comfy and the staff were super friendly, very welcoming and friendly every time we passed by. Even gave us a free cocktail each evening.
Perfect location on the beach with great views and easy to access, excellent breakfast, the restaurant oh the hotel was one of the best I have tried, helpful staff, the best value for money in Ostende! If you are in the city just book there!
Very nice, large, bright apartment, with 2 bedrooms and 3 beds (for up to 5 persons). Good bathroom with shower and bath tub. Fully equipped kitchen. And one of the best views in Oostende, to be enjoyed from the lounge or the large terrace.
Very clean hotel with comfortable bed. The hotel is well situated right on the high street and close to train station and a short walk to the beach. Staff are friendly and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Ostend.
The location of the hotel is ideal, walking distance to the city center and the beach.
It seems that the hotel was recently refurnished, so the outlook is good and modern
eggs and pancakes at breakfast freshkly baked
Location and cleanliness are super spacious with a magnificent view from the top floor.
A bonus for the delicious Belgium chocolate ox with tea & coffee in the kitchen drawer
