Featuring an a la carte restaurant, Elafonisi Resort by Kalomirakis Family is set amidst a garden with olive trees. I was very lucky to find availability in this place for a long weekend. It was a wonderful stay and I hope to be back one day. The staff could not be nicer, very accommodating and friendly. The rooms in small cottages are located in the olive grove, there is good shade to while away the hottest hours and also incredible stars at night. There was tea kettle, decent wifi (not sufficient for working though), comfy bed, strong shower, sun bed on the terrace. Elafonisi beach is 7-10 min walk downhill. I loved spending mornings and late afternoons there while there were very few people. Such a different experience compared to the crowds at midday. I also walked one day to Kedrassos beach - about 25-30 min walk, take sturdy sandals or shoes… the beach is another paradise. I also loved the meals at the resort restaurant. It was always tasty, lovely sunset views and again great service. Highly recommended :).

Featuring a 150m2 pool with separate children’s section, Kedrissos Hotel consists of self-catering accommodation with free Wi-Fi. The bar-restaurant comes with indoor and outdoor area. Everything exceeded our expectations. It was an amazing experience. There are some beaches nearby the hotel, but we only stayed for a few days so we rented a car and went to Seidan, Elafonissi and Balos beaches. The location was good because it was near Chania town and in the middle of everything we wanted to see. Special thanks to the receptionist, who guided us through the whole journey and told us specifically where to go and what to visit in order to have an amazing experience for the time that we had there. He really made our journey amazing and we highly appreciate him and all the staff there, really amazing and friendly beyond expectations also the cleaning lady and the bartender from the pool. The breakfast was delicious with many things to choose from and the bar near the pool area si really amazing. The pool looked beautiful in between the hotel's buildings that had a nice design, some showers inside that we used after our checkout before our flight. The room was good, spacious, with a balcony and it was cleaned every day. 10/10 for this hotel.

Featuring an outdoor pool with sun loungers and umbrellas, the Cycladic-style Ifestos is quietly located 500 metres from the centre of Fira and offers air-conditioned accommodation. Everything was as expected. Room was definitely value for money, especially considering the prices of the surrounding resorts, quiet, the restaurant had great cappuccinos, staff super friendly - sure it didnt have the views of places in town but having a small kitchenette was totally worth it - no sound of nightclubs an added bonus
