We enjoyed being so close to all the town has to offer and above the restaurant was a real pleasure. The family that runs the business is friendly and helpful. We were surprised how quiet the room is, you don’t hear anything-amazing soundproofing. Bonus for the strong air conditioning and fabulous shower. We wish we booked a longer stay!

The location is perfect as it's a 5 minute walk from the ferry or bus drop off. Walk out the door and you are in the midst of shopping, restaurants and sense of a distant time way back. From the room there was a great view of the harbor to watch the boats and people go by. Our host Alicia was very helpful pointing out the city attractions and a number of good restaurants close by.

The location is within the walls of the old city. This means that there are many steps to go up to the hotel. We lobed the idea of being within the walls. The people there were extremely helpful, coming to get us from the taxi with an electric wagon to take our luggage, (to and from the room). They gave us good tips for restaurants and overall made us feel very welcome. The room was nice, without a window with a view, but who cares when you go out of the room early in the morning and come back late at night.

Still thinking about this little slice of paradise... Silvano's warm hospitality made us feel immediately welcome and at home. He does a fantastic job of keeping the rooms clean and comfortable and making sure you have everything you need. Breakfast was abundant - sweet and savoury dishes to suit all different tastes. We enjoyed waking up and having our breakfast by the window facing the sea, it was a truly magical experience. Portovenere is slightly out of the way, but this is what makes it very peaceful and special. It is not overrun with tourists so it does offer a somewhat authentic experience. I will forever cherish Silvano's friendliness and generosity... it is something that makes you remember a place with much fondness and I hope I have the blessing of visiting again some day.

Really a 3 room accommodation with a lovely little balcony overlooking the harbor and the people walking on the pierside below with a few restaurants. The breakfast was excellent and my wife loved her cappucino. Unfortunately we could only stay one night. Next time it will be at least 3 nights.

Location is excellent. Postcard views. Our host Mirco was gracious, generous and accommodating. The property itself is several olive-tree covered acres located on a ridge overlooking Porto Venere. The owner maintains a small flock of sheep and other animals, lending a very bucolic feel. This is a 2-bedroom, 1-bath home. The kitchen is very well supplied, though don’t expect a microwave in Italy. The listing specified breakfast, which is there- though it consists of fruits, eggs yoghurt etc in the fridge. Actual breakfast is DIY, which wasn’t a problem for us.
