Located in Cambodia’s Andung Khmer Village, Kampot Cabana is 1.3 km from the city centre. Beautiful place on a small part of the river. Quiet and relaxing. The French owners are very helpful and will give you recommendations of things to do or information. It is a little bit out of town but you can walk, rent a moto at the place or get a tuk tuk easily. There are lots of fish in the river that you can watch whilst you drink a good coffee and eat a crepe in the overwater restaurant.

Initially, we booked for 2 nights and the stayed another two nights. All of the bungalows are lovely and comparable to luxury holiday chalets in the UK. The photographs on the website are accurate. Even though the rain season has arrived (end of June), this area has the best of it with the rain early morning, sunny days and a lovely cool, relaxing breeze by the river all day. At night, if not too cloudy, there are beautiful sun sets by the mountain. For our last stay we chose the room with the lake view which has it's own west facing terrace. The interior fitting is very nice and very comfortable. The hotel staff were great and helped to organize our travelling. The food was great too!
