We did not go sightseeing, were there for a wedding and I want to give a shout out to Wesley who worked at front desk, he was our savior, we arrived at the hotel by Taxi and we thought as everywhere else they accept card but the driver did not accept card and would not talk English, my husband offered him $40, our fair was only 9 euros. So Wesley helped us and always greeted everyone with smile.

One of the most beautiful cities I've seen, a lot bigger than I expected. Love the sights of Signal Iduna Park, U tower, Christmas market, the big mall galerie, the arhitecture, the streets and the buildings, people were pleasant and helped every time I needed some help. It's a pitty I didn't stay for more days to explore more of the city but the 2 days I've been there were trully magneficent.

We came for the Klassiker BVB v Bayern.
We came for the Klassiker BVB v Bayern. It was an amazing experience. We flew into Cologne (After 6 hour flight delay and got train to Dortmund. I can't believe that German train service renowned for punklichkeit is now worse than UK! UBahn was excellent.
On Sunday we enjoyed the medieval market and a very good breakfast before getting another late train back to Cologne.
I would have liked to have had more time to see more of Dortmund, but DB and Ryanair had other ideas.

We enjoyed Dortmund (except for the train station), but had difficulty getting there. We were going specifically for a soccer game, and had tickets in hand. My son is a big fan of BVB - Borussia Dortmund. We were going by train from Cologne to Dortmund, and thought we had plenty of time to get there. The game was starting at 15:30. Unfortunately, we were delayed by circumstances in Cologne, and just missed the train we had planned on. We still had time to get there by taking the next train out, but there were problems on the track, and they were unable to stop at Dortmund!! We got off at the next station, and had to scramble to get back to Dortmund. By then the game had already begun. We rushed to put our luggage in a locker at the train station, but they were all out of order!! Everywhere else we visited had great storage lockers. We noticed that they are planning to redo that station to modernize it, but the timing was bad for us. We had to drag our bags with us, so jumped into a taxi to get to the stadium at Signal Iduna Park. At the entrance, we sent my son inside, and his friend and I took his luggage. We were told there were some lockers over by the bicycle storage area, so went went over there. They said "Sorry they're closed." I sat and guarded the luggage while his friend went in to watch to rest of the game. It was disappointing, but at least he got to see the intermission and the second half. And, happily, they scored a goal in the second period and won the game!!

I don’t like dortmund.
I don’t like dortmund. I was on the other parts of the Germany like Karlsruhe and stuttgart and I like that part more. I believe the city is extremely dirty and nothing worthwhile to see. People are egressive. Be careful when you travel there.
The staff were super friendly. I loved how clean the room was, The room was well furnished and equipped (hair dryer, a kettle, TV and a bottle of water..). I especially loved having a kettle in the room. You don't know how helpful it is when you crave hot tea at night!
The late welcoming check-in is exceptional. I didn't have to worry about arriving on time 👌
There is a Rewe store nearby, and the U-Bahn station is 4 minutes walk. All that with a very reasonable price as well.
I would definitely come back to this hotel!
It's a great quite small hotel in the center of Dortmund, just 3 min. walk from main railway station.
I did last minute booking just 15 minutes before my arrival but everything went smoothly. Ladies at reception are extremely helpful and even helped me with my documents.
Room is small but clean and equipped with everything you may need as a single traveler. Breakfasts are tasty with good choice of meals.
Used the hotel for a short stay in Dortmund. Has to be an ideal location. Right next to the train station, the center of the city, U Bahn and the stop for the airport bus which is ~50m from the hotel. Few shops and eateries open late or 24h few steps away at the train station. The hotel seems a bit old and can use a bit of redesign but it's comfortable and clean. Staff were nice.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The rooms are large with a large bathroom.
One can have breakfast in the morning, which can be bought on the spot. The food is varied and excellent.
The location of the hotel is excellent, as it is across a railway station and a bus station, so you can quickly get around wherever needed.
Room was basic but clean and a comfortable bed
Hotel was quiet
Location is convenient as there is a U Bahn stop next to the hotel and it is easily accesible by car
Dortmund centre, the Airport and the exhibition centre are easy to get to
Car parking is free in surface cark park, underground car park may have a fee
Super friendly, highly professional and helpful front desk staff, of a much higher quality than average in Europe. They could easily be the front desk staff in 5 star hotels in Hong Kong. I was very impressed. I’ve worked in hotels in my past in Asia and Hong Kong so I know what I’m talking about.
If compare around Dortmund, nice hotel in price category, close by central streets.
Underground parking, even when hotel places are full can park one floor lower,14€/24h
Clean sheets, blackout curtain on windows if want sleep longer.
Good hotel about a 10-15 minute walk from the main Dortmund station. Was allowed to check in early too when just dropping off our bags would have been good enough but our room was given to us a 10am. Nice breakfast.
Like everything about the trip it was near to all of the people we know in Dortmund and near the places we go drinking so not to far to go back to the hotel very friendly people on the staff of the hotel..
Best thing about this hotel is its location, just cross the street and you're already in Dortmund's city center. The spotless clean rooms and comfy beds are also worth mentioning.
Beautiful German style hotel, I personally loved this hotel. Staff are very friendly, beautiful city. Highly recommended and will be back soon to see more of Dortmund. ❤️❤️❤️
The Breakfast was great. The hotel is located within walking distance of a few shopping centers and shops. The central station of Dortmund is also close by.
