A very quiet location just outside Autun, overlooking fields and with no obvious neighbours. Plentiful parking right in front. The chateau has been lightly restored (no mean feat!) and has the creaks and quirks one would expect. Welcome was warm and gracious, room was huge, with original herringbone parquet floors and tiny bathroom, but all spic and span. Bed was comfortable, bedding of nice quality, and the room surprisingly warm on a cold blustery night. Breakfast consisted of an array of breads and cheeses, orange juice, coffee machine, cereal/yoghurt, all to a good standard. We will be back!
