Amoudara has one main street where all the shops and...
Amoudara has one main street where all the shops and restaurants are and that's pretty much it. You take any side streets and you'll end up in one of the neighboring settlements. The place feels neglected and doesn't look pretty. From half-finished, deserted buildings with lots of junk nearby, to overgrown shrubs and trees, which you have to avoid by ducking or walking into the street sometimes, which doesn't make it very safe. There's also a power plant nearby which really takes away from the overall impression. During the first couple of days of my stay, there was some unpleasant smell in the air, not sure if it was the power plant or some other reason, but it was really awful. The beach is great as long as it's not windy but, unfortunately, it usually is.Milana - 10Scored 10

Enorme Teatro Beach exceeded my expectations! Our fiance and I went there to exchange our vows on the beach. It was our first time in Crete... From the very first day of the online booking till the very last day at the hotel the staff were always helpful, making sure we had everything we need (taxis, dinner, photographer, answering our questions...). The swim-up option in our room was beyond what I imagined. Also he food is quite exceptional!! A really nice cosy hotel - Some small things have space for improvement, but maybe this makes exactly the atmosphere. The breakfast buffet is extraordinary ! But the biggest asset of this hotel, is the team - and I mean the whole team including the lady taking care about cleaning ! She has truly made this hotel/studio a wonderful place to stay, with her attention to many details throughout to make you feel at home. Anna greeted us with Raki and oranges. On another day she gave us homemade cookies, delicious! On another day she made us a marbled cake! Also delicious! Anna took care of my wife when she had to stay in room all day due to an injury. She made her lunch, gave her juice, water and made sure she was okay. Any issues were immediately resolved.

Quiet, not many people with children. Sometimes live Greek music and champagne for breakfast. Hotel has a portion of a beach, it was clean, nice sand, free sunbeds, regular (ca. every hour) delivery of beer/wine/soft drinks. Location nice, beach 7 minutes, shops, car rentals very close, central position of Crete if you want to drive around. Perfect relaxation during our honeymoon.

The beach is a 5 min walk, although do not expect much - it is rather dirty. The food at the restaurant was good, there were enough options to choose from. The staff was nice and attentive. The live music during the evenings was good; the musicians created a nice atmosphere.

All highly recommended and thank you very much for the pleasant stay!

We arrived late and they made us welcome. The room was clean bright with a new the kitchen comprised of cupboards, sink, microwave, and refrigerator.. The terrace had a beach view and a table with chairs to enjoy the sea air. We enjoyed the breakfast which could be taken indoors or outdoors in the garden. We would choose to stay here again.
