Cape Napos, hotel in Faros

Built above a rocky shore, Cape Napos features a swimming pool with sun terrace and self-catered rooms with sea-view balconies.

Cape Napos was the most delightful place to stay that exceeded our expectations. Firstly, Kostas and Pamela were the most helpful and friendly hosts we could have asked for. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay and gave us so many great recommendations for transport, food and places to visit in Sifnos. For any coffee lovers there is Captain Georges down in Faros which is perfect for a morning swim coffee and walk to the surrounding beaches. (Approx 15 minute walk) The accomodation itself had the most spectacular view from the pool and it was so easy to spend your day there enjoying snacks and drinks by the pool. The rooms were extremely clean and the staff made our rooms up to perfection every day. If you’re looking for the place to stay on Sifnos, it is at Cape Napos.

Lighthouse Hotel, hotel in Faros

Featuring a pool with a children’s section and a snack bar, Lighthouse Hotel is located in Faros Village of Sifnos, within 700 metres from the beach.

Quiet, out of the main villages on the island. Nice and relaxing, great pool area, breakfast was nice and changed every day. Anthony was great, gave us some refreshing lemonade from Thessaloniki and some local white wine. 20 minute walk down to Faros beach, there are restaurants to have lunch or dinner. Bus stop just down the road to Faros, Appolonia and other places on the island, just make sure to download the correct timetable.

ALK Hotel, hotel in Faros

This Cycladic-style hotel in Sifnos offers a bar with panoramic terrace and air-conditioned rooms with sea or mountain views. The pristine beach of Agia Marina is only 100 metres away.

I was blown away by the wonderful staff, friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Chrysoula, who took care of us throughout our stay and provided help and advice, e.g. what to see during our relatively short stay. The welcome with lemonade on a warm day was also very nice, as well as the transfer to and from the hotel. Tasty and varied breakfasts, with elements of regional cuisine. Pleasant and clean rooms. Bath cosmetics, even sponges and toothbrushes for those who forget, and an extra towel for the beach.

Faros is a lovely small village with no through road.

Faros is a lovely small village with no through road. It has three beaches within a few monists walk and if you sent off and walk around the big headland, you get another within say half an hour. There is a bar, mini market, a couple fo tavernas ( one better than the other by far) and a posh-isn fish restaurant. There is a bus service but we had a car which was a boon. The island is small so you can get to see other places in very easy timescales. There is huge influx of both Greek and (largely) French tourists in July and August which the locals were both dreading and of course, needing. Best avoid those months if you can.
