The room and the location were ideal for visiting Plitvice Jezzera. I little off of the beten track but comfy and quiet. No real view to speak of except the fields around the property. Hihly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing stay that's close to the park.

Very nice owner and already prepared the heating for us when we arrived, her parents live downstairs, cooked pancakes for us in the morning which is very sweet and warm. The location is near the national park and in the beautiful and quiet village with very good price. There’s everything you need for cooking and living, even just for one night.

We stayed here primarily to visit Plitvice national park but...
We stayed here primarily to visit Plitvice national park but the area was beautiful, a complete contrast to the Croatian coastline. It felt very Austrian in influence with chalet style houses, lots of green countryside and flowers. It was also a lot cheaper to eat out and buy coffees/ice creams than on the coast. Plitvice was incredible (although v hot and busy in August). I would like to go back at a quieter time as there were long queues to get on the boats which was not ideal in the heat with children. It was a shame that there is nowhere you are allowed to swim as we would have enjoyed the opportunity to cool off!SarahUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

A great location to get active.
A great location to get active. We did kayaking on the upper river Mreznica - Slunj, which was wonderful. We did this through the Hotel Mirjana&Rastoke, and they were excellent guides. We also visited the Plitvice Lakes for a day and did a great hike around the National Park.

Nice place, there's caves nearby and Plitvice national park to see. There's also a small, cute town Rastoke nearby. The people are very friendly. There are a lot of small shops but not many souvenir shops are open during the winter time. We really enjoyed walking through Rastoke with our dogs (there's even a dog beach there), the food in rastoke was amazing! We ate at "Kum". National park Plitvice is a must-see, we recommend visiting during the week, since weekends are quite busy and if you're with dogs, it's a bit tiresome to move through guided groups/crowds.EmaBosnjakovicSlovenia - 10Scored 10
We found numerous places of interest around.
We found numerous places of interest around. From Slunj and the fab restaurant (Petra) by the waterfalls, to the Plitivitc world heritage park, bat caves and scenery. Whilst we didnt travel with children there were plenty of things for families in the locality for all ages. Locals all very friendly and helpful. All linked by a good road system and markings. The only disappointment was the zip slide that was closed when we visited.

It was a very comfortable stay for me. If you travel by car the distance to the National Park is easily doable. I travelled by bus and had a bus stop not so far from the property (near the pastry shop) which was great. There is also a supermarket nearby and a few restaurants too. Balcony is available with nice table and two chairs, for you morning coffee. Rooms are very clean and fits very well for romantic nights as well as for honeymoon. Free parking. Lot of hiking trails around and tourist spots. Nearby there is Supermarket, petrol station, bakery, lakes. The facility is quite luxurious and beautifully maintained. The breakfast was pleasant and the staff friendly. Great location in Rakovica - the national park is 15 minutes in one direction and Slunj/Rastoke old town is 20 minutes in the other direction (the location of the kayaking the Mreznica River tour). For an inexpensive and fun meal, try the Street Food cafe in Rakovica - great hamburgers and fries!

Comfy bed, great wifi, lots of outside space for parking and sitting. Try nearest Pizzeria 5 min drive or 16 lakes hotel for food.
