Our stay at IL Barilotto was great, the customer service was amazing and felt very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great every morning and the views were amazing as well. Not very far from central positano but has a quieter vibe that is good for less traffic and commotion. Very close to Praiano which has a very authentic feel compared to Positano. The shuttle is convenient for if you want to be in the mix more than not and it’s not too far from both Positano and Amalfi’s beaches. When we visit the Amalfi Coast again this is where we will rebook!

The employees at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. The balcony in the room had a great view of the duomo square. There were lots of great selections at the breakfast buffet. One of their employees carried our suitcases up all the stairs when we checked in, and did it again for us when we checked out.

This was our second visit to Atrani, we love it.
This was our second visit to Atrani, we love it. Out of the hustle and bustle of Amalfi but just a ten minute walk to get there. The piazza in Atrani has a good selection of restaurants and cafes to choose from. Swimming is at hand and very safe. It is such a beautiful little town, its locals are friendly and will answer any questions. Note, the Sidi bus schedule does not run to normal schedule on public holidays like All Saints’ Day. Information around public transport can be difficult to find out so do your research before leaving home.

Atrani is away from the crowds, but close enough to walk to...
Atrani is away from the crowds, but close enough to walk to some of the other villages. The buses went straight past the apartment or you could catch from Amalfi. The restaurants in Atrani are fabulous, Savo and A'Paranza were our favourites. The little shops in the Square provided fruit, fish, bread, water, drinks and there was a fabulous little gelati shop. But most of all we loved a little cafe that we went to every afternoon for drinks, that was right on the water. Bar Nettuno is run by Andrew and is a great spot to chill out and watch the boats come and go.

The area falls in the centre of Amalfi. Everything was really close from here. Surroundings were very pretty and touristy as well. Location was perfect :) just sad that we only found Italian cuisine here. (since I’m a vegetarian ) so got a bit tired of eating pastas and pizzas for every meal :(Kavya - 8.0Scored 8.0

Atrani is a little town well located to amalfi. It has a beach but you can also got to the amalfi by walk. There is a tunnel between amalfi and atrani 900 meters long. and also atrani has a little square includes market, bar, restoran. We arrived in Salerno from Rome.
We arrived in Salerno from Rome. We thought we would be able to get a taxi/Uber to Atrani, but there were not any available. The easiest way was to take the ferry, which took about 35 minutes and it was a pretty view during the ride! Leaving Atrani, we took van early in the morning and the winding roads made two of our three kids car sick, so the ferry is way to go if possible and is way cheaper. Overall, Atrani was good and we enjoyed our time there. Most restaurants do not open for dinner until around 19:30, so if you have young kids it is good to keep in mind! It is easy to walk around throughout Almafi and Atrani.

Atrani is the best stay for an Amalfi coast trip. It’s walking distance to the buzzing and touristy Amalfi, but it’s quiet, local, and quaint. There are amazing restaurants a cute beach and all you need while still being close and connected to the rest of the coast. I really recommend it.SamantaCanada

Steps from food, the beach and a 5 min walk to the hustle and bustle of Amalfi town. Loved staying there. Preferred Atrani over the Positano zoo!! Don't get me wrong, Positano is beautiful, but insanely busy and absurdly expensive for Heaven knows why... Too many people on an overcrowded beach. The scenery is nice, but we got more out of Amalfi.

We loved the location in Atrani (a short 10 minute walk along the beautiful coastline from Amalfi) as it was less touristy while still so close to all the action. We would highly recommend staying here, and will definitely be back in the future!

The stairs can be brutal, especially for the aged, families or those carrying luggage. It is very close to the beach (150ft) and just two short flights of steps from the main road.
