The hotel restaurant is incredible! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is perfect. Some evenings they even had live music in the restaurant. It was a great way to end our evenings before heading to our room for the night! The hotel location is also excellent. You are within walking distance of SO many plazas and sites!! The city is easy to navigate by foot - we spent 5 days here and never needed a car. I have stayed at Hotel Hidalgo a few other times in the past and I will continue to choose this hotel over any others in the city. We requested a room with a balcony, which enhances the beauty of this hotel. We loved opening the balcony doors and having a view of the street bustle, which was mostly people, not cars. The architecture and history of this hotel is truly worth seeing!

Querétaro is a beautiful city steeped in rich history, particularly as the birthplace of the Mexican Revolution. It's a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Mexican history, whether you're a local or a foreign tourist. While Spanish is predominantly spoken, it adds to the authentic experience, although it might pose a slight challenge for non-Spanish speakers. Overall, Querétaro offers a fascinating journey through Mexico's past and is well worth exploring.

I hope to return for a longer stay.
I hope to return for a longer stay. The Regional Museum is great; I would like to have had time to visit others. Lots of great restaurants, street vendors of arts and crafts; but you need to carefully look for the locally-made items.

The city has beautiful historic center with many colonial buildings and churches. The streets are super clean and at night they are up with beautiful lamps. The city has a very important share of Mexico’s independence movement and has a lot history. The food was very good and I think I’ve had the best pozole in Queretaro. You can easily visit and see the city and sites in three days. It’s veey walkable and I very safe all the time; beautiful Queretaro!

Downtime is quite nice.
Downtime is quite nice. Several places to visit and lots of all types of restaurants to accommodate your travel budget. This city is becoming quite crowded and visited and you must be aware that traffic jams are starting to be experienced more and more. However, if you stick to downtown (Centro Historic) you will enjoy a nice couple of days and will be able to visit the diverse museums, temples and overall neighborhoods which the city has.
Don't get me wrong, the hotel was nice, but I felt I overpaid considering the experience. Yes, from dollar to peso, it seems like a steal, but considering the minimum wage in mexico is around 173 pesos daily, to pay over 1,000 pesos a night, there is a certain standard to expect. For starters, the room was not cleaned during my stay. I kindly asked for soap and shampoo for my second night and the evening front staff argued tooth and nail against me. I have been at hotels that charge a fourth of the price yet the staff are much kinder
The room was spacious with a great shower and high ceilings. In room coffee and bottled water was provided. The bed was more comfortable than most Mexican hotels. Walking distance from everything in el centro. The included breakfast was nice. Other reviews said the rooms are dark and the lights are dim, but we found this relaxing after coming in from the bright sunlight. The bathroom lights were very bright as you want in a bathroom.
The property is charming and in the beautiful Central historic district of Querétaro. It is in walking distance of museums, churches, restaurants etc.
The staff is so welcoming, helpful and friendly .
The room was clean and comfortable and a nice size room for our family of four for our one night stay in Querétaro.
The hotel is serene.
The courtyards of the hotel are pretty and have lovely seating areas for relaxing.
The staff is very friendly and even endured our attempt at Spanish! Our room was very well appointed in a quiet area of the hotel. The breakfast delivered to your room was the best. Thank you Sara and Cesar. Also extra thank you to Cesar for helping us get a ride to the airport after our Uber didn't show and then helping to carry our luggage to meet the driver because our street was closed for an event.
MGJ ian old hacienda in the heart of ritzy Juriquilla; think Scottsdale, AZ. It has a functional restaurant with a fairly wide menu — and a very very good weekend-only buffet-style offering.
The core attraction is the pool which sits at the center the hotel. I recommend securing a room with a pool side patio. It makes a big difference.
Service was great, staff really friendly and place was truly nice. I will book again when I return to Queretaro in the near future! Cleanliness was superior. Location can't be surpassed. I loved my stay in such a nice, quiet and comfortable hotel. Now I know that there is an extension of the hotel around the corner with a swimming pool.
Excellent location but even more exceptional staff. Good continental breakfast with coffee, fruit, juice, toast, yogurt and granola. Close to everything in historic Querétaro. Pepe, one of the managers, really seemed to appreciate my visit and stay. I felt very welcomed and comfortable. Highly recommended.
Solo traveller, in Room #302. Great location in El Centro, excellent WiFi in room, spacious bedroom, lots of space, big comfortable bed, several windows, great lighting both natural & artificial, very good shower, ample towels. Staff pleasant & helpful. 2 gratis 355-ml bottles of water daily.
Cosy small boutique hotel, staff very personable particularlyl Arlette, the manager who has been extremely helpful. It is a quiet place considering it is located on a main avenue. The lighting in the superior king is excellent
as is the bed and bedding. All in all, a lovely experience.
Plaza Camelinas is a very nice hotel, with very clean and spacious rooms and a very nice garden and pool area. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the food in the restaurant is delicious. They do have free off street parking on site and AC.
The breakfast has to be one of my favourite in all the hotels I’ve stayed throughout Mexico so far, I booked to stay here a second time because of the wonderful breakfast, excellent service staff, comfortable room and location (in that order).
It’s such an authentic cozy hotel in the heart of Queretaro‘s city centre. Our host Maria was super friendly, assisted us with everything and it felt like staying with a family.
Extra point for breakfast on the roof top terrace.
I must say, the best part was the lovely rooftop open kitchenette, some of the most beautiful views you will have the pleasure to see and the best sunset
I’ll definitely be returning when I return to Mexico next year
This is a sweet, small hotel very close to the historic centro, but off on a quiet side street. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The rooms are small, but have all you need.
It’s a boutique hotel in the centre of Queretaro. Really nice rooms, quiet and the staff is accomodating. I love coming here. It has a small library if you want to work, rooms are clean and modern.
Great room for the price ($60 US) Located in the heart of the Centro Historico. Smallish room, but clean and pleasant. Restaurant downstairs is one of the best in the city. Beautiful.
Good location in centro. A block from square with good food stands and restaurants all around. Great king bed, good shower and large room on second floor, nice rooftop terrace.
