Amazing facilities, new, modern, clean, nestled amongst the trees.
Breakfast and dinners top notch and the lovely host is just the best; kind, helpful, great cook obviously.
She was still recovering from an injury and was still running around making sure everyone was happy 💚 - one of our best stays.

Nothing to see except nearby shrine on tophills with stunning view of the town. Proximity to few Karen tribe villages.
Besides that the town itself has nothing to offer. No life on streets and most of business closed after 8 pm.

I did the famous Mae Hong Son loop on scooter for 3 nights/4 days and it was perfect. People tend to stay in Pai for a few days to make it a little longer, but since I didn't like Pai, one night stay was perfect for me.

We had three days in MHS the ( Dec31-Jan 3) New years eve down by the lake in the town was great. So much going on and people everywhere. Good food stalls and market every night and i recommend eating at the Good View resteraunt by the lake. For anyone who's trip in MHS is due to riding the Mae Hong Son Loop , this is the town to get your souvenier t-shirts, stickers etc. All in all Mae Hong Son is a great place to visit for a few days .I also recommend taking the side roads off the main Loop road.

Such a laid back, friendly place.
Such a laid back, friendly place. If you are near the small lake you are near what you need. Killer night market. This is maybe my 10th night market in Thailand and maybe my favourite. Good food and cheap. Beautiful setting at night along the lake. The viewpoint on the mountain is fantastic. Walk up the stairs and earn the view. Behind the Wat is a cement road going up and this is where you can look out to Burma. Rent bikes and make your way out of town, cross the Pai River and explore the roads. Great easy cycling. Biggest obstacle is the heat. We are both in our early 60’s and had no issues. Come for 3 days and stay for 9 like us if you can. The best Chicken Khao Soi can be had at Khaw Soi Panoon. Also check out the morning Market 😍
Just out of town (few minutes driving distance from the center), the location and value at The Crossroads House is hard to beat. We stayed here one night during our 5 day trip around the Mae Hong Son Loop and it was one of the cheaper places we stayed but also one of the spots we got the most value.
The hostess was really friendly though we didn't take advantage of the opportunity where they teach you to cook your own Thai dinner for 60 baht. I'm sure it would only have increased the value of our stay.
Cute little cottage in semi-rural area in the outskirts of town.
Very well equipped. Airco, shower and fridge work well.
We loved sitting on our little porch with a cold drink overlooking the green area and with the neighborhood dogs playing around.
You will need your own transport to go to the center of town. It's about 10 minutes on the motorcycle.
Mae Hong Son has a lovely night market and some very nice places to eat and drink around it.
We enjoyed our stay very much!
Our favourite stop on the Mae Hong Son loop! Look out for the little sign as we went right past it! But when we arrived it was the warmest welcome from the most wonderful host! There wasn't anything that was too much, even lighting up the fire pit! Food was incredible and great value. Room was so clean, comfortable and modern and we truly felt at home. Cant recommend this place enough!
The staff was lovely and the guy was really great with comfortable beds. Daa is an amazing cook. I had both dinner and breakfast the next day. Dinner was yellow chicken curry soup with lots of vegetables. It was one of the best meals I've had during 6 weeks in Thailand. Breakfast the next morning included homemade bread. Wow!
This is one of the most memorable stays on our five years of travels. Expect serene eco huts next to nature, solid wi-fi, cute dogs, surprisingly soft beds for Asian standards and a lovely host. A perfect stop on the Mae Hong Son loop, wish we could have stayed longer.
the grounds are incredible! it was built as a model for sustainable ecotourism in Thailand, which means they only employ locals and use local flora to attract animals and birds. It is amazingly beautiful. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating.
Very new and nice looking resort with a big rice field and flower garden. Nice view of the mountain from the porch! The rooms are large, quiet and private. Staff are very friendly and helpful. 15 minute walk to the Mae Hong Son night market.
Great hotel in Mae Hong Son. Easy to find, right on the main road, but just far enough out of town to be quiet and relaxed (but still easy to get into down). Beautiful reception, friendly staff, lovely rooms with all the necessary amenities.
Camp hidden in the forest in funky cool huts with full amenities - it was such a great experience. Located in serene surroundings while walkable to the center of Mae Hong Son City. A definite gem if you are visiting MHS!
Like most of Northern Thailand, mattress was hard and uncomfortable. But the room was spacious, very clean and location is good.
Guesthouse owner is friendly and helpful!
Amazing place, nice well-maintained garden even in the low season. Quiet, clean. Probably one of the nicest accommodation we stayed while doing the Mae Hong Son Loop
The Resort is embedded in rice fields and jungle. It’s a wonderful rest after a day on the Mae Hong Son Loupe. Don’t miss the impressive Tham Lod Cave on the way.
Comfortable and good for the area, not a lot to do in Mae Hong Son but the crossroads house accommodation made it a lovely stay. The staff were lovely!!
