It is a stop off spot to go to Phong Na and other points, but the city is very charming, not very touristy. We loved it - go to the street market, the tree hugger cafe and seafood stands on the beach.

Dong Hoi has some beautiful beaches by the resorts, but there really isn't much else going on. There seemed to be 1-2 streets where you could shop or buy things, and there was no nightlife. Caves are really a great attraction to visit in Vietnam! In addition to the caves and nature, we enjoyed the river view and walking along the river. We visited the other side of the river where the locals live in small picturesque houses.

If you have the chance to go to Dong Hoi, book this accommodation and you will have an absolute pleasant stay! The room was clean with nice rattan furnitures. I got free water and a rambutan snack in the afternoon. It was really great. Thank you so much once again for all your help!

The food is delicious and very well presented. The staff is very welcoming and will never let you down. The outdoor pool is stunning and the water clean and at the right temperature to enjoy it at full. You can really experience how the vietnamese are such great people!

She organized our expedition to the caves. Finally she made sure we had our taxi for 5am the next day to the train station.
