Accra, the vibrant capital of Ghana, offers a rich tapestry of culture, history, and modernity. This bustling metropolis boasts beautiful beaches like Labadi and Kokrobite, where visitors can unwind and enjoy the Atlantic Ocean. The city's history is vividly displayed at the National Museum and Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, celebrating Ghana's journey to independence. Accra's lively markets, such as Makola Market, offer a sensory overload of colors, sounds, and aromas. It is a more organised version of Nigeria. Good for tourism. There are many places to learn about the history and culture- National Museum Accra, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, Osu Castle etc.
It's very easy to exchange dollars/euros/pounds to the local currency. On average, Accra is not expensive for a capital city. The people are also fun and lively. Great destination. Good hotels too!

Accra is a city with many layers.
Accra is a city with many layers. You need to take time to see all of it and the best advice is to ditch Google and ask the local taxi drivers for what ever you fancy. Be specific and don`t be shocked to find first world restaurants tucked away in obscure run down streets. Stay away from tourist traps as Ghana is expensive as it is and malls charge over and above for things you can have in the city for less.

The sightseeing tours were most enlightening.
The sightseeing tours were most enlightening. Learning about the history of the country and the people was eye opening. It was so much more than what we have been taught in schools and what we see on TV. The people we encountered were very pleasant and welcoming. Visiting the museums and other historic sites was absolutely amazing. The restaurants and the food was delightful. Some of the most beautiful restaurants. As well, Mosques and Churches were always nearby.
I stayed 10 days and visited 5 of the 16 regions. I will return to see and experience more.

Title: Beware of Deceptive Andy at TheLennox in Accra
Title: Beware of Deceptive Andy at TheLennox in Accra
I booked a room at TheLennox in Accra through Booking.com, which was confirmed via email and also over the phone by a person named Andy. However, my experience with Andy quickly revealed him to be a dishonest individual.
Moments after arriving at the hotel, I presented my active booking confirmation to Andy, only to find out that he had sold the room to another guest through Airbnb. Despite providing concrete evidence of my prior reservation, Andy callously claimed that the other guest had paid, and therefore, he had given the room to them instead. This behavior is nothing short of deceitful and impudent.
To make matters worse, Andy also attempted to upsell me to a room that was double the price of my original reservation. It is evident that he was trying to coerce me into paying more for accommodation. This kind of manipulative behavior is unacceptable and further underscores his untrustworthiness.
I want to emphasize the unscrupulous role that Andy played in this situation. He knowingly confirmed my reservation, then tried to push me into a more expensive room while giving away my original booking to someone else for his own gain. It's clear that he is not to be trusted.
I write this review as a deeply disappointed customer to warn others about the risk of encountering someone like Andy at TheLennox. Such unethical and dishonest behavior should not be tolerated in the hospitality industry. I strongly advise against staying at this establishment, as you may also fall victim to Andy's fraudulent actions.
Never again.
The ambiance and vibe of the hotel IMO exceeded that of any other place I've stayed in Ghana. The pool and outside courtyard area ia ao nice and serene. The area is very walkable and has an amazing Tea Buffet nearby thats a must tty for food and/or drinks. There's security around 24/7 and the girls at the front desk are very polite and helpful. Our breakfast was plentiful and delicious and even as I was wiriting this the gentleman called to let us know breakfast was ready! Can't wait to come and stay again
Beautiful home beyond our expectations , felt cozy and warm like home . My family and I have enjoyed our stay in Ghana. The house is located in a save , secure , beautiful and peaceful neighborhood very close to Presidential palace , 37 Military hospital and Aurora apartments . My kids have enjoyed playing in the big garden. The Host of the house was friendly and helpful in everything that we needed. I would definitely recommend it to all my friends and will be using it again on my next vacation. 💛💛✨🙌
In fact I will choose this holidays in over and over and over from the manager to the last person, the staff's are like brother's very polite relliable . I therefore recommend this facility to everyone who want to go to Ghana for Holidays . The environment is unique their services are 24 hrs all the room shown online is the same you will meet . Thank you Nana holidays Let.. I really enjoyed my stay .oh one more thing , breakfast in bed was fantastic 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Oh I loved the sleeping there. The bedsheets were sooo soft and fresh. The design is european style, very modern. The room even had a balcony. The kitchen is a normal sized kitchen with a microwave, which I've never seen anywhere else before during my journey in Ghana. Another thing I haven't seen before is nice and cozy rugs next to the bed. Air-condition worked.
The staff is beyond words, anything I needed, they helped me instantly and they were really kind.
I highly recommend the hotel and started to recommend to friends and family. I hope to return soon for another visit. What I liked most about the property was the caring, respectful and warmth of the staff especially the hotel manager Mavis, who followed me up before during and after my return to ensure I was happy, comfortable and had nothing wanting - she went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable stay in my first trip to Ghana
Uche, Bismarck ,the Kitchen staff and everyone at the facility were super friendly and helpful
The facility itself is top notch and gives you a sense of homeliness.
I especially loved the cuisine from the kitchen and the array of movies and TV series on Netflix.
I'll certainly be lodging there again whenever I'm back in Ghana
My stay here was phenomenal. I love that its located at the centre of Osu just off Oxford street which has a lot of amazing places of interest. Their staff were very friendly and willing to assist with everything. They also have very strong wifi. I would definitely stay here when I visit Ghana again.
Breakfast was lovely and the scenery was great. Staff were very kind and helpful. The location is perfect I was a short walk from the main attractions of Ghana in December (night life, restaurants, bars and so on).
it is one of the bedt places ive stayed in ghana. ive been to sigapore and lived in the marina bay, and i think this can be compared to such place. the host Nancy and Richard were awsome. this place is awasome
We enjoyed our request for a ground floor room being honored. The professional, personable and sincere hospitality of the staff was 15 STARS!! I will recommend heartily the Alisa Hotel Labone.
Clean, comfortable, and spacious. The rooms have comfortable beds, a fridge, and a microwave. The staff is helpful. We have made Van Der Salle our go-to hotel in Accra.
Nothing to like it was simply a shambolic treatment of a follow Ghanaian and not giving a dime about it. POOR customer service and no apology whatsoever.
