The television system is horrible. The host couldn't get the t.v. to work, so we had none. There were stains on the carpet, but we were told at check-in. Apparently, we stayed before a remodel.

We booked day passes for Great Wolf Lodge and stayed at Fairfield Inn and Suits. It was close to many different food options, shopping and gas stations. Also, nearby was a Sam's Club, Burlington, and Five Below, just to name a few.

We were a large group a families (10 rooms) in TC for a youth sports tournament in mid-February and Sugar Beach was perfect for our needs:
- Indoor pool is a good size, and they had plenty of towels
- Younger siblings liked the small arcade
- Small fridge in room was helpful
- Nice breakfast options... like the hotel, not super fancy... but good variety of options and good quality
- Morning run on the beach was great... quiet stretch of the beach
- Dairy Queen across the street was handy... and in the summer, proximity to Pirate's Cove (large large mini golf and other activities in warmer weather) across the street would be great.
- The staff was amazing... very helpful and patient with our young families. Paris in particular was AWESOME to work with... thanks so much Paris!
To be clear, like nearly all the hotels up in TC and especially those on the beach -- it is an older hotel and not high end luxury or anything... but for being directly on the beach and for other considerations listed above we highly recommend it.

Traverse City is beautiful. I always enjoy my stay.
Traverse City is beautiful. I always enjoy my stay. They have lots of lovely restaurants. My favorite breakfast spot is The Cottage and we’ve enjoyed dinner at Poppycocks, Sorellina, and Harrington’s. However, we always have a hard time finding late night food. The Traverse City Comedy Club was fun and the shows are inexpensive. I find it to be a very relaxing trip and we will definitely go back.

I was there because my father was in the hospital. While he was having surgery or sleeping I went around the town… so many cool bar, restaurants, cool coffee bars, shopping… we are going back in the summer for a get away weekend! I loved it!

Traverse City is a beautiful little northern Michigan town.
Traverse City is a beautiful little northern Michigan town. There are many great places to eat (our favorite was Mama Lu's, and we enjoyed 'date night' Wednesday at Poppycock's). There are many great shops along Front Street and plentiful parking. In addition, there are parks and lighthouses in the vicinity for variety. We traveled to TC during the winter holidays, but would love to come back in the summer to take advantage of the hiking trails and to thoroughly enjoy the beachers and water. People were very friendly. TC is on the expensive side, but nothing too much more expensive than any other little town or resort site in Michigan. There is a lot of focus on drinking (wineries, breweries), but there is so much more to do than that. If you do drink, however, you would find doing a winery tour a lot of fun.

Traverse City offers many wonderful views, restaurants and shops. I think it offers something for everyone. The view over the bay changes every season so it is worth extra visits to take advantage of the lovely scenery.
What a great hotel! We booked it at a really good price, then they gave us a free upgrade to a room with a beach view. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. They offered a variety of breakfast boxes to choose from for breakfast. The boxes were delivered to our room at the time we requested. It was great. You are outside of downtown Traverse City, but it is a short drive to get there. Would recommend this place to everyone!
The Bayshore was spotless and the staff was great. The resort was well staffed and they did an outstanding job with breakfast. Constantly wiping down and cleaning everything in the breakfast room. We had a lake front room and enjoyed it very much. Have stayed in Traverse City many times, but this was our best stay yet. We will be back to the Bayshore Resort.
Clean and comfortable hotel with a beautiful private beach. The rooms appeared to be newly remodeled. Hotel staff was very friendly. We were very pleasantly surprised! The hotel is just removed enough from the main area of downtown to feel like an escape, while still near restaurants and the airport. Just a 20 min drive up the peninsula to multiple wineries!
location near Munson Medical
Center, Traverse City, Michigan. Not a pleasure trip, and expected to relax night before appointment at Munson on April 1, 2022. Familiar with Wyndham properties expected better accomodations. Night clerk professional and helpful.
Our room was clean & had comfortable mattress. The staff was very nice. The hotel is not walking distance to downtown Traverse City, but across the street from the lake. I’m not sure where the closest lake access was because we were only there for one night.
Great location! It’s a lake front property with beach, barbecue e fire pit area. Short drive to Downtown Traverse City stores & restaurants. The room was cleaned, remodeled, comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Very friendly housekeeping.
the breakfast was excellent, the rooms were very clean and the staff was very nice. we would recommend the country inn to stay ay when you are in traverse city. close to downtown and close to all shopping areas and the beach.
The hotel was extremely nice. We will be returning the next time we need to travel to Traverse City. The staff was exceptional. The view was pretty nice too, in the summer it would be even better so we could use the beach.
The room was quite comfortable and larger than we expected. We only stayed for 3 nights. Pet friendly! Walking distance to a few fast food restaurants and close proximity to downtown Traverse City.
Very nice hotel for the price. Very clean, even the breakfast area during peak hours! Staff was super helpful and nice. The breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast. Loved the waffles.
It’s convenient to downtown. The staff is always nice. The pool room is always clean, and probably the best continental breakfast in town. This is our usual go to hotel in traverse city.
