Located in Kyoto, a 10-minute walk from Arashiama Bamboo Grove, MUNI KYOTO by Onko Chishin provides accommodations with a fitness center, private parking, a garden and a terrace. I was blown away by the room. It's huge and beautiful. The balcony with the water feature outside was stuning and so calming. I spent many hours just sitting on the balcony reading or meditating. The location is also amazing. It is right smack in the centre of everything and yet so quiet and peaceful. Just overall exceptional and will be back for sure.

We picked the hotel due to its localization, because it is close to famous bamboo forest and to make crowdless photos you need to get up very early, so we decided to choose hotel close to the forest. It was supposed to be only a bedroom for us, but it came out as a really comfortable and clean hotel with very friendly personel. Also the bathroom was big, clean and to be honest, the best we found in our trip to Japan. I can recomment it to everyone staying in Kyoto

This is my first hotel in Japan. It is a two star hotel, so I had low expectations, but it is in line with some four star European hotels I have been to.

Renovated in 2014, Hotel Binario Saga Arashiyama offers a restaurant, a café and a public bath. JR Sagaarashiyama Train Station and Torokko Saga Station is just a minutes’ walk away. Booked the room with beds instead of futons, really nice and big room! Breakfast and dinner was amazing, a whole experience! And staff was so nice!

Only 5 minutes from JR Saga Arashiyama Station with the free shuttle, Sun Members Kyoto Saga offers Western rooms, free WiFi in all guest rooms and the lobby, and a restaurant. I’d say this hotel is underrated. We stayed here when we visited places around/near Arashiyama so I won’t say that the location is bad. You just have to plan your trip and map it out. Staff were great, I can speak a little japanese but they can converse well in english, too. Room was great and spacious - and the sunrise view from our balcony was beyond perfect. The building is classic and well-maintained. They have a shuttle going to Saga Arashiyama station, but I don’t mind the 10-15 mins. morning walk.
