No two breakfasts were exactly the same. It was perfect for us, as we were looking for an authentic experience. The room was traditional, but with sufficient climate control and a decent wifi connection.

Το Ohara Sensui Surrounded by Beautiful Nature είναι ένα κατάλυμα που προσφέρει θέα στο βουνό. The property is a small but cozy standalone house with a number of traditional features, a large terrace and plenty of parking. It is an ideal location for the nearby temples as well as the national park and the popular temples at the top of Mount Hiei. The host is wonderful and responsive and speaks very good English. They met us on arrival and came to wish us safe trip on departure. Kyoto is relatively easily reachable, but I would recommend a car not only to get out to Kyoto, but also to get around -- there is tons to see in the area. However, you can equally stay in the village for a couple of days w/o the need of getting out anywhere given the local serenity of temples! The village has all the amenities and during the day time even lots of restaurants next to the temples.

Το Ohara no Sato Onsen είναι μια minshuku ή ιαπωνικού στυλ ιδιωτική κατοικία που σερβίρει αυθεντικά ζεστά πιάτα με βάση το miso. The place is beautiful and relaxing. The food has a great taste and is perfect for the cold weather. The onsen is perfect, very relaxing and clean.

Το Ohara Sanso προσφέρει μια εμπειρία από ιαματικές πηγές αποκλειστικά μη καπνιζόντων και διαθέτει δείπνο με ζεστά πιάτα και ένα μοναδικό καφέ με μπανιέρα με ζεστά ελατήρια. Απέχει μόλις 100μ. Beautiful ryokan in a lovely place.Ohara and the valley is peaceful and charming. The staff were very helpful and kind and the dinner and breakfast delicious. Fell in love with their dog ♥️Just an hour bus ride from central Kyoto. Go if you can! We hope to be back one day...
