Hotels in Kurokawa Onsen, Minamioguni

Situated in Minamioguni, 32 km from Mount Aso, Senomoto Kogen Hotel features accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Everything was just so great in this hotel. They have very nice scenery and beautiful onsen. The breakfast and dinner are both delicious. We would like express our gratitude the staff at the hotel. I have inadvertently left a down jacket at the hotel. They kept it nicely and helped me to send it back home.

Inn NOSHIYU provides a hot tub, as well as accommodation with a kitchenette in Minamioguni, 48 km from Kinrinko Lake. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Mount Aso is 40 km away. Everything is perfect. Service, Bedroom, Design, Decoration, Material. Have 7-8 onsen at hotel. 5 private with no need reservation and Open air bath is superb. Only 4 room at hotel so it is very private

Built in 1722, Okyakuya is situated in the historical district of Kurokawa Onsen district. Located only 100 metres from Kurokawa Onsen, Free WiFi is provided and private parking is available on site. Food was awesome and they were accomodating towards our preferences. The futons were extremely fluffy and comfortable. We had the river room and the spacious room and amazing view was phenomenal. Super memorable stay with super attentive and friendly staff. The baths were fun and had great history to them. I think it's a sodium chloride spring with some sulfur content for the most part and I think there's another spring that's slightly different. They also swap around the baths morning/evening so that the guests can enjoy different ones!

Kurokawa Onsen Yama no Yado Shinmeikan features 5 hot-spring baths, including a 30-metre long cave bath. We spent 3 nights at the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Nihonbashi Kayabacho hotel after arriving in Japan (There is another Fresa Inn in the area, so make sure this is where you have your reservation). It is a relatively modern, functional hotel sometimes referred to as a business hotel.  The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very small as is typical in Tokyo but very clean and functional.  The hotel is convenient to Tokyo station (20 minutes walking as a reference). After arriving on the Narita Express or by others means to Tokyo station, follow signs to the Tozai line (sky blue) subway. The easiest way to know which direction to go is to look at the numbers representing the stops.  The Tokyo station stop at Otemachi is T-9 and you want to go to T-7 Kayabacho. Leave the Kayabacho subway station via Exit 7 and the hotel is just around the corner.  From Kayabaco or the nearby Nihonbashi station, you can get all around Tokyo on the highly efficient subway system.  Use a Suica, Welcome Suica or Pasmo card to enter and exit subways and avoid the hassle of figuring out which ticket to buy or how much they coat. Just tap and go.  Enjoy. Kokura,Onsen EXPERIENCE JAPAN LIKE THE JAPANESE We decided to spend a couple of days in central Kyushu to enjoy a traditional Japanese ryokan experience. Boy, was that a great call! I88We stayed at the Yama no Yado Shinmeikan  in the Kokura Onsen area, which is an hour north of Aso city by bus. The ryokan is 130 years old but is clean and well-maintained. It features a total of 5 unique onsens, including one carved into a cave.  The ambiance is terrific and the staff is super friendly and helpful.  The ryokan is located along a flowing river and the sound of running water adds to the relaxing quality of the stay.  (The Fuji room is best). All accommodations are traditional Japanese tatami rooms which are made up for sleep each night by the staff as you enjoy the onsen baths.

Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. Such an amazing stay! The staff is lovely, and the service was exceptional. The scenery was amazing! I am definitely coming back here!!!

Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. Best meal service I ever had. 板橋-Chan was so helpful even she is not fluent in English. She even took care of my mum who has allergy.

Situated in the centre of the Kurokawa Onsen Area and boasting a total of 8 indoor/outdoor hot spring baths, Nanjoen offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation with tatami (woven-straw) flooring... wondering services, great location, very traditional room and clean and neat, the onsen inside the room is excellent

Boasting spacious indoor and outdoor hot spring baths surrounded by lush greenery, Ryokan Wakaba provides Japanese-style accommodation in the peaceful mountain area. Lovely and helpful staff. Wonderful dinner and breakfast. The room was large and spacious, very clean and comfortable. Fabulous onsen!

Only a 5-minute walk from the centre of Kurokawa hot-spring district, Ryokan Ichinoi offers Japanese-style accommodations with Japanese Yukata robes. The outside onsen was perfect and exactly what I had hoped for my. Also we had it all to ourselves in the afternoon which allowed us to peacefully enjoy the forest scenery while bathing in this beautiful onsen all by ourselves. Our tattoos were not a problem and the staff was incredibly helpful. Both dinner and breakfast were exceptional and traditional Japanese meals with multiple courses. You can also book their private onsen which is only 1000 yen for 45 min.

Kurokawa Mori No Kiki is set in the Kurokawa Onsen district of Minamioguni, 49 km from Kinrinko Lake. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. This stay was magical. The amenities were exceptional, and the house was extremely clean and relaxing. The onsen bath was a really great way to relax. We ended up cancelling our plans so that we could spend the day relaxing at the house instead. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The beds were so soft, and the quality of the bedding, toiletries, and the tea/coffee/ice cream/milk were really high! The owner was exceptionally nice, and he has a restaurant that we went to for dinner. I have dietary requirements, and they went to a huge effort to source ingredients that I could eat and prepared a delicious and extremely well priced meal. Everything about this stay was exceptional!
