I have inadvertently left a down jacket at the hotel. They kept it nicely and helped me to send it back home.

Kurokawa Onsen Yama-jarðböðin no Yado Shinmeikan er með 5 hveraböð, þar á meðal 30 metra langt hellabað. We spent 3 nights at the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Nihonbashi Kayabacho hotel after arriving in Japan (There is another Fresa Inn in the area, so make sure this is where you have your reservation). It is a relatively modern, functional hotel sometimes referred to as a business hotel.  The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very small as is typical in Tokyo but very clean and functional.  The hotel is convenient to Tokyo station (20 minutes walking as a reference). After arriving on the Narita Express or by others means to Tokyo station, follow signs to the Tozai line (sky blue) subway. The easiest way to know which direction to go is to look at the numbers representing the stops.  The Tokyo station stop at Otemachi is T-9 and you want to go to T-7 Kayabacho. Leave the Kayabacho subway station via Exit 7 and the hotel is just around the corner.  From Kayabaco or the nearby Nihonbashi station, you can get all around Tokyo on the highly efficient subway system.  Use a Suica, Welcome Suica or Pasmo card to enter and exit subways and avoid the hassle of figuring out which ticket to buy or how much they coat. Just tap and go.  Enjoy. Kokura,Onsen EXPERIENCE JAPAN LIKE THE JAPANESE We decided to spend a couple of days in central Kyushu to enjoy a traditional Japanese ryokan experience. Boy, was that a great call! I88We stayed at the Yama no Yado Shinmeikan  in the Kokura Onsen area, which is an hour north of Aso city by bus. The ryokan is 130 years old but is clean and well-maintained. It features a total of 5 unique onsens, including one carved into a cave.  The ambiance is terrific and the staff is super friendly and helpful.  The ryokan is located along a flowing river and the sound of running water adds to the relaxing quality of the stay.  (The Fuji room is best). All accommodations are traditional Japanese tatami rooms which are made up for sleep each night by the staff as you enjoy the onsen baths.

Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths.

Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. The environment was amazing, room was clean, comfortable and huge with in room private onsen, kaiseki dinner and breakfast was excellent, staffs are friendly and helpful with outstanding service.

Nanjoen er staðsett miðsvæðis á Kurokawa Onsen-svæðinu og státar af 8 jarðböðum innan- og utandyra. Boðið er upp á hefðbundin gistirými í japönskum stíl með tatami-hálmgólfi. gólfefni og futon-rúm. Gorgeous traditional ryokan, with beautifully appointed rooms—we had one of the en-suite onsen baths, and I highly recommend it! The dinners and breakfasts were sumptuous and almost too much food, all very delicious. The staff is friendly, impeccable, and very helpful. The area itself is also lovely, with plenty of shops and nearby onsens to explore.

Boasting spacious indoor and outdoor hot spring baths surrounded by lush greenery, Ryokan Wakaba provides Japanese-style accommodation in the peaceful mountain area. We enjoy the onsen very much. The dinner and breakfast is fantastic and delicious. The staff very friendly and helpful. Will come back again.

Ryokan Ichinoi er í aðeins 5 mínútna göngufjarlægð frá miðbæ Kurokawa-hverahverfisins og býður upp á gistirými í japönskum stíl með japönskum Yukata-sloppum. The outside onsen was perfect and exactly what I had hoped for my. Also we had it all to ourselves in the afternoon which allowed us to peacefully enjoy the forest scenery while bathing in this beautiful onsen all by ourselves. Our tattoos were not a problem and the staff was incredibly helpful. Both dinner and breakfast were exceptional and traditional Japanese meals with multiple courses. You can also book their private onsen which is only 1000 yen for 45 min.

Kurokawa Mori-bærinn No Kiki er staðsett í Kurokawa Onsen-hverfinu í Minamioguni, í 49 km fjarlægð frá Kinrinko-stöðuvatninu. This stay was magical. The amenities were exceptional, and the house was extremely clean and relaxing. The onsen bath was a really great way to relax. We ended up cancelling our plans so that we could spend the day relaxing at the house instead. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The beds were so soft, and the quality of the bedding, toiletries, and the tea/coffee/ice cream/milk were really high! The owner was exceptionally nice, and he has a restaurant that we went to for dinner. I have dietary requirements, and they went to a huge effort to source ingredients that I could eat and prepared a delicious and extremely well priced meal. Everything about this stay was exceptional!
