From the very warm welcome when we arrived, the lovely hotel tour we were taken on, to the beautifully furnished rooms. Everything felt just right. Like coming home. And not to forget mentioning the rooftop with 360° degree view of marvelous Madeira. Every single just detail seemed to be thoroughly considered when working out the concept of the hotel when it opened in 2019. Light scent of apple in the hallways, a fully equipped kitchen, a Harman Kardon bluetooth speaker and a TV that allowed you to stream your content via Apple AirPlay our Chromecast. What could mid-twenty travelers want more?! Not to forget the rooftop pool, DJ sets on the weekend and drinks that knock your socks off. Prior our arrival the Three House reached out via WhatsApp asking when we would arrive and whether transportation from the airport is needed. Like, did you ever communicate with a hotel through WhatsApp? Whenever we had a question or just wanted to know where the locals eat - we just sent a text and got the greatest recommendations that made our stay in Madeira even more memorable. Every hotel should just do that. It just feels so natural. If you visit Madeira and plan to stay in Funchal, this is the perfect place. It’s location in the city center with free parking let‘s you get to all attractions and Funchal’s old town in no time. Enjoy the traditional meat skewers and drink as much Poncha as you can (take it with ice though). If you fancy something more experimental, try the hotel restaurant with a sundowner drink on the rooftop after. The Three House just gets it how a hotel experience in the twenty first century should be. Thank you!

This restored Madeiran mansion is located 900 metres from Funchal's Old Town and has scenic views of the sea, the city and the mountains from its own botanical gardens and terraces. We missed our connection flight and arrived to the hotel in the middle of the night. Despite the time, Nuno welcomed us with a smile and very patient explanations and made the start of our trip in Madeira very pleasant. Also the rest of the staff was very nice, attentive and helpful. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The hotel's garden is gorgeous and has a nice panoramic view of the sea and was the perfect place for breakfast. Breakfast was excellent with large variety. It is highly recommended.

Overall a fab hotel, spotless clean, friendly staff, great breakfast, lovely ambiance, great staff and great location, will definitely return

Offering panoramic views of Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean, Hotel Quinta Bela S. Tiago features an outdoor heated pool surrounded by tropical gardens. The staff and facilities were spot on. Couldn't ask for better.

I stayed at this accomdation and I really liked it. The owner was absolutely lovely and I immediately felt welcomed. She offered suggestions for places to eat in the local area. The room is exactly like the pictures. Comfortable bed and great little ensuite. The location is great - literally 5 mins from the old town area which is lovely to explore. The breakfast the next morning was just lovely and relaxing. Nice view looking over the rooftops towards the sea.

The staff was amazing. Luciano and Orlando are very kind and welcoming. Luciano made an effort to fulfil our requests on check-in and his colleague Orlando checked us in relatively late on a Friday evening. They gave us the best advices on the best places to eat espetadas, fish and bolo do caco. And also where to drink poncha close by. It was a very good advice to avoid driving after drinking a 50% alcoholic drink 😅 The facilities are great and depending on the room you book, the views are amazing with views to the ocean and the east part of the city. The building has an underground parking and they give you the keys for you to park inside, which is extremely handy given the lack of parking in the public streets all over the city. We didn't use because we went in January, but they also have a swimming pool on the rooftop!

The apartment is fully equipped. It is a 45-minute walk from the city center, but a bus station is about 5 minutes away, or a taxi will cost around €10. The view from the balcony is splendid, overlooking the entire Funchal. It is a 3-minute walk to the Botanical Garden and 5 minutes driving to the main express road (easy access). The hosts are very responsive and helped us with all our requests. They have a book of useful information, from bus schedules to the best restaurants or activities to do. They have a private parking slot, for free.

We had an amazing stay at this comfortable apartment! Central location to the market across the street and grocery stores and bus and the waterfront promenade. It felt like we were locals going to the grocery store and taking the bus, not like tourists! The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need! We loved it! Jose was a wonderful host and he was in touch with us from the moment we landed at the airport and any time we had a question he was quick to answer all of our questions! We didn't have a problem with noise from the market early morning but we always travel with a white noise machine so we didn't hear anything. We found the bed super comfortable. We were there for almost 2 weeks and cannot wait to go back to Madeira and hope that Jose's apartment is available when we do!! Thank you so much Jose!!
